The pressure to be super thin as a pre teen or teenagers is so strong. Thats all we see on tv and magazines today, music video, its everywhere, i think this week as we begin to start healthy life style, i have tried to tell my kids healthy eating not what the world offers as healthy (aka low carb,not eating at all,eating just enough to stay alive diets) or working out 7 hours a day because you ate something not so good for you. we went to the movies tonight to see alvin and the chipmunk we ate popcorn and each had a coke, mine diet, but the kids had regular, which is ok because we all have been so good this week weighing in everything and excersing everyday that this won't hurt us to bad so my girls first thought was i have to run for 1 hours to get rid of it. we talk and i really want my kids to be healthy about this , not like i was in high school. i guess all you can do it talk to them and pray they listen.
Sometimes life is good , and sometimes i just have to make lemonaid!!!!
