I am currently at 138.8. It's not as big of a loss as I would like to see but atleast it is starting to go down. Pascha foods had too much salt in them. I am glad that all of the Pascha food is gone and I can get back to eating my normal things.

Yes, 116.2- I lost another pound today, I have begun losing again after weeks of a plateau. I weighed 102 as a comfortable weight for years, then due to a terrible divorce that I didn't contest, I went up to 137. Now I probably won't get back to that weight but since I'm not even 5 feet tall, I do weigh more than is healthy.

145 with 30 pounds to go. I haven't lost any weight in a long time. I'm actually just trying not to gain any at this point! I'm a binge eater and am working with an eating disorder specialist, Becky Lu Jackson. I eat 3 moderate meals a day with nothing in between, no matter what. You'd think I would have lost some weight by now, but I haven't been following my plan faithfully, which is what needs to take place. I've just started counting calories again, here on SP because I think the foods I've been choosing have too many calories for me.

A pound a week is really good, KNYAGENYA!
I'm getting back on the horse after a 6month hiatus, and I'm up 13 pounds from where I was when I left! I'm at 174 as of this morning.
Anyone can do it if I can do it!!

I'm at 147. I have slowed down on weight loss. Now I seem to only lose about a pound a week. I guess it is better than gaining.

Well -- 181 this morning. I had gone up to 183 after Thanksgiving. Hoping I can get below 180 before Christmas!

I've finally made it down to 180 again -- I wonder if I will be able to hold my weight there through Thanksgiving, Advent Fast (more carbs), Christmas, New Years, and Theophany (big church potluck and outdoor blessing of the waters!). This is the most challenging time of the year for me!

Well, at this point I'm 190.6. Since my last weight post, I've gained weight -- now I've lost it and hoping to lose more before weight gain season -- Thanksgiving through Christimas and Theophany (We have a big Theophany celebration and an outdoor blessing of the waters -- usually out on the ice of a local lake.)

I had a pleasant surprise for the start of the new year. I only ever weigh at my Doctor's office. Normally, that is once a month, but due to work schedules I had trouble getting to the doctor every month. So, somewhere in the last 3 months I lost 18 pounds, bringing me below my first goal: to lose 50 pounds from when I started.
The drop was so much that I had to think there was an inaccuracy in measurement. At work we have two different types of scales and both of them showed a slightly higher weight - a difference of 5 pounds, but still below my first goal. I suspect the dramatic weight loss is due to the last weighing not being accurate - my clothes just don't feel like I lost 18 pounds.
My ticker shows my new weight.

Well, since my last post, I gained about 10 pounds. I've lost most of it again and my ticker is spot on now. (I didn't change it, hoping to get back to the weight it said I was). So as of this morning I was back down to 178.8.

Hooray!!!!! I'm finally down to 174 -- which means I am no longer obese -- I crossed the line into being merely overweight!!!! I won't change my tracker yet, though, until I'm sure I can keep the weight off. DH was laughing -- his wife was dieting to become overweight!

Well, it's been a while since I posted. I had gotten down to 186, but I've gained about 3 or 4 pounds so I'm around 189-190. The pre-Christmas carbs are hard to avoid -- especially when we are maintaining an Orthodox fast!

214.5 I think... I had an argument with my scale this morning. I had gotten up in the middle of the night to pee and just decided to weigh myself. Scale said "214.5." Then this morning -- after I had gotten up several more times to pee (without weighing), Scale said, "215.5". I got on and off several times, and its answer was the same... told it I would give it some time to think about its answer... came back a half hour later and weighed myself. Scale said "216" I reminded Scale that it could be replaced... got off and on again. Scale said, "214." ... then had BM... got back on and Scale said "214.5." Sigh! ~RuthAnn

This is the first time I have posted here....I was down to 146 10 days ago, but have gone up to 150 again because of last weekend and too much eating out while traveling and sitting in the car. HOWEVER! I am not discouraged. It will come off as I keep to the program of careful eating and exercise!

Okay - now I'm down to 221! (Am I catching up to you?) I guess I'm on the preschool teacher's diet! I was called in to work most of the week last week. So I stayed out of my kitchen and away from my pantry, ate healthy lunches that I packed myself and ran around on the playground with children - and pushed them on the swings! I tired myself out so that I slept better at night than I have in quite a while AND I lost 2 pounds this week! ~RuthAnn

Okay, now that I've been moving around after being sick, my weight has dropped back down, thank God!
So now I'm 228.5 after an all time high of 233.5 while being sick for so long and lying around.
I think I just broke another rib from coughing, so as soon as that heals up, I start my new exercise program with Coach Nicole's new workout DVD "Fit, Firm, and Fired up in 10 minutes a day."
I'll sure be glad when I get over this coughing! I didn't know pneumonia could be this debilitating, but I'm on the mend now.

Not even gonna say this time! I've been lying around sick off and on since the middle of December. I haven't gotten any exercise to speak of. My weight has skyrocketed.
But I'm beginning to feel better, and I'm finally able to sleep all night without extreme coughing fits. Yesterday I spent the day cleaning house for our house blessing, and it was the most exercise I'd gotten in weeks. Boy was I exhausted. But this morning I was down 3 lbs from my highest weight a few days ago.
So there's hope...

YIKES! Here's my weigh-in for the new year. After 3 weeks of being sick, no exercise to speak of, not good quality sleep at night, and as my appetite returned eating comfort food instead of whole grains, salads, and fruits, I've gained weight. I'm now at 229 - the highest I've ever been in my life. I need to get serious about tracking food and counting calories. ~RuthAnn

My post-Thanksgiving weight is now 225. I'm hoping to get it back down a little, so that Christmas doesn't make it go all that much higher. This season is so hard. There is so much food involved! Thank God we can avoid some of it with the Advent fast! ~RuthAnn

I'm at 163, and ready to get back on the wagon. I started using the food tracker again...

Well - it's time I 'fessed up - I'm ranging between 220 and 222. It's hard to eat less because I feel so hungry if I do. I've given up most sugar and refined flour. I walk 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes daily. What I'm not doing is strength training. I'm not one for going into a gym, but I just got some hand weights, and I found a simple plan. Now I just have to do it... ~RuthAnn

Okay - back down to 220 this morning. This sugar sensitivity program is helping even though at this point in the diet it is about reducing sugar cravings and upping the protein levels - not weight loss. ~RuthAnn

Gee -- the bad news (for me, at least) is that I may be the largest lady in this lovely bunch, but the good news is that there's 26 fewer pounds of me than when I started back in February. At 249.5, I saw a "4" in the 10s spot for the first time in quite a while!

YIKES! My scale says 226! That means I gained almost 8 pounds in about 3 weeks. That's the most I have ever weighed! I must have been enjoying the pre-Lenten foods a little too much and excusing my pigging out because Lent was coming... ~RuthAnn

Hmmmm -- Back down to 215 without doing anything special -- also just happened to be "that" time of the month -- although, I'm supposed to be through with that. Oh well!... My weight spike must have been fluid retention. ~RuthAnn

I'm not doing too well -- I'm back up to 218.5 -- I gained 4.5 pounds. I really need to commit myself to 1500 calories per day and track my food. If I don't I gain.
I hope everyone else is doing better than me! ~RuthAnn

PS: I'm taking tape measurements too. I just like to track progress and this is another way to see it, especially if the scale doesn't move. The inches loss still tells the story.

Well, I recorded my first weigh in since I "reset" my program (tracking food and exercise again, recording everything...).
I've dropped 2 lbs! Hurray! Last recorded weight: 160.0 current weight: 158.2
RuthAnn - the food tracking really helps. It really is the best motivator. Good determination to you!

Hi everyone -- I prefer to weigh myself on Wednesdays, so I'm trying to get on track again. I also do best when I'm tracking my food, so I'll start tracking again -- not having been home for a good part of the summer made it difficult to keep tracking. I have reset my program -- time to start over.

My normal weigh in day is Sunday AM (since I'm fasting that morning and won't forget to weigh in before I eat breakfast), however to get the ball rolling here I'll post my last weight, which I'll call my starting weight here.
SW: 159.6 next weigh in: 8/24/08
