I still have to plug it into a computer every once in a while. Since it's happened, I've been doing that every day, even though the device doesn't need charging, just to make sure it syncs so if the error does happen again, I won't lose days of data.
I haven't had a problem with it since Friday, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. I do love the device, concept and customer service, so we'll see what happens in the long run.

I have been hoping someone with a BodyMedia Fit would respond to your post. Unfortunately I can't be of much help here since I have a bodybugg, and it's not even one that links to a smartphone. It's quite possible it's something with your phone app and/or bluetooth; have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling that?
Good luck--I'd be screaming and/or crying, too, I'm so dependent on the info from my bodybugg!

I'm on my second armband device since Thanksgiving. I sent the first one back last week, and already the new one is having the same issue.
While the device is on body, it will make the connection beeps, followed by a pair of tones three times (a high tone and then one about a half step lower on a musical scale). After that, the next sound is me screaming and/or crying because I know that everything I've done since last sync is erased.
I've spoken with Bodymedia, and while the guy is super polite, we have no idea why this keeps happening especially with a device that I've had for 6 days. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? My latest idea is that it may be a problem with my phone app and/or bluetooth that causes the reset (Motorola Droid Razr Maxx running Android Version 2.3.6
