I have done my 25 minute treadmill and shoveling snow. I have notice that if I don't do my treadmill workout I feel guilty. So I am trying do the the treadmill everyday even though not as much time soI don't get that guilty feeling and no burn out or at lease fight the burning out process.

this will help my new challenge.

Maybe just use sweeping snow as upper body exercise since using upper body even though walking and sweeping at the same time. and also did the treadmill 20 min.

Sweeping snow?

I don't know. Shovelling snow would definitely count! It's hard work and it's in the tracker. Sweeping doesn't sound as strenuous. Does it get your heart rate up in the target zone?
I think that is the deciding factor.

this last challenge was interesting, It kept me thinking about the treadmill and exercise and do something about my weight once and for all. Since our winter in South Dakota finally showed up would 20 minutes of sweeping snow of my sidewalk count as exercise? that is what i did this morning.

this will help my new challenge.

I did 20 mins of stretching and 60 mns of bellydancing yesterday. Also did one of my first bike rides in 30 years for 25 mns. today!! I have bellydancing tomorrow night so that will be my three to help out the team right?

It is simply one way for us to motivate ourselves.

Sometimes teams will have challenges to encourage members in their healthy lifestyle.
There can be short individual challenges like:
- eat 5 veggies today
- eat within your calorie range
- do 10 extra min. of exercise...

Others can be longer... weeks or months long.
Sometimes there are teams that compete against each other.
Being on a team can sometimes help motivate us to work harder.
Sometimes team members encourage one another.

Can you use my exercise from last week? I thought I joined last Sun but didn't officially join until Wed.I'm not good on the computer or finding the right sites. Then SP is so slow & the screen doesn't react for 4-5 min & I go on to something else. I do track food, exercise & trvia.

This challenge will be similar to the one we did last January.

The challenge is to do 20 min of cardio at least 3 days a week. Post to your team thread each day you do at least 20 min. of cardio. Your team will earn 3 points if you do it 3 days. They can get up to 2 bonus points if you do it 5 days. (0ne point per extra day.)

We will start January 1st and go for 3 weeks.
Weeks will go from Sunday to Saturday, but you may post Saturdays workouts on Sunday and they will still count. Points will be awarded on the following Mondays.

I will be looking for two captains to help motivate their teams too. You might like to add in some side challenges. (Not for points, but for fun and motivation.)

We will have 2 teams. Sign up here!
