I am going to find more small ways of keeping active. Like marching in place while doing dishes, or just doing 1 minute of stretches when I wake up or go to bed. I pushed too hard a few weeks ago and really got burned out. I am going to get back on track by taking it slower and prioritize. It's all about balance.
I'm going on vacation in a few weeks. My goals are to improve my eating habits, planning and portions until that time in order to be more disciplined during that week. We will be getting a lot of exercise walking trails in the mountains to waterfalls and sightseeing, so I can have a few treats, which I'm looking forward to at the apple stands where they make fresh, fried, apple pies/turnovers.
Dear Lord, set my sights on You and Your great attributes. Help me to live in Your presence, dependent on Your guidance each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

I am tracking again on spark people and joined this group tonight. My cousin went to the Doctor yesterday and well her doctor upset her to say the least. We struggle as a family to lose weight...it takes us forever...so I have decided to join her band wagon and support her...maybe together we can shed of more than ever.
So tracking and being accountable and this site helps me a lot and is fun at the same time.

One of my favorite tools on this site, is the food tracker. I took the plunge in June and started a 1200cal/day diet. Other than the week we went on vacation, I have faithfully used the food tracker and made sure I was getting enough protein in my diet. The recipe calculator has been another awesome tool as I can make sure that my family's evening meal is filling and tasty without going over my allotted calorie intake. To date I have lost 22lbs and other than in the beginning, I am not really hungry. I always thought I was a healthy eater, which I am, but my diet was full of hidden calories, now I have a better idea of what is going in my mouth. And best of all, on those days that my caloric intake is way under, I get to have a treat...ice cream or homemade chocolate cake!
