My greatest challenge is not being able to walk outside in this heat and the snakes are out too. I miss my walks among nature and the peace that comes with it. I do however, love walking indoors too to my Leslie DVD's. By the time I finish my workout, I can get outdoors at least to water and tend to my flowers, and enjoy the sunset sometimes too.
My other challenge is that I haven't been on a normal routine with exercise, but fully intend to change that soon. I miss the consistency and I need to build endurance in order to conquer Chimney Rock in September.
Dear Lord, set my sights on You and Your great attributes. Help me to live in Your presence, dependent on Your guidance each day. In Jesus name, Amen.

My greatest summertime challenge is definitely heat-related activities. The next one is all the cookouts and parties I'm invited to.
Why do folks think that Summertime and holidays are times to indulge in food that will pack on the pounds? I'm definitely guilty of having done this, but I am trying to change my habits and find foods that SEEM like an indulgence while remaining good for me.
I love to ride my bike, but not when it gets too hot.
I try and cope by riding before it gets too hot, and just before sunset. (This works well with my work schedule too!)
Some people cope by exercising indoors with AC, but while I recognize it as an option I may need to use as the summer goes on, I am stuck inside so long during the winter, that I really want to get outside as much as I can in the summer. If it is too hot to bike while the sun is up, sometimes I go for an intensive walk just before bedtime.
