emoticon 30lbs way to go.i like strength training actually,well any form of exercise it is just that i am not allowed to do it for a while because of the op.i quite like the idea of one budget food a day using a different food a day.lol.canīt speak for the others in the group though.

Sure, Karen!

I like to mix up the challenges anyway, because a healthy lifestyle is not just about cardio, or just ST, or just calories, or just any one thing. It is a combination of things. The one requirement here is that they be low cost. I will not challenge people to go to they gym!

ST seems to be the least popular challenge of all. (I think I knew that going into this week, but I thought I would give it another chance anyway, because we all should be doing ST.)

One that we have not done yet, is a food tracker challenge. Just logging our food!

Or we could be sure to eat one budget friendly food a day - requiring a different food each day.

Or a water challenge...

Or... I am open to ideas.

PS - I used my son's bench press yesterday - 30 pounds.

hi diane this is a great challange but can we have a none exercise challange as well next week so i can join in?please.
as i am now back and with time on my hands i will be able to join in the challange but i am not allowed to exercise ,bummer i know.just a thought lol.

I've been busy and not online much.

Here is what I"ve done for ST so far this week:

Monday - incline pushups and tricep dips
Tuesday - lunges, calf raises, and squats

Today - hip flexors

This is a simple little challenge to make sure we do our strength training this week.

You can do it every day. You can do it just 2 days. It is up to you. The goal is to do at least 2 sets of 8 reps of 2 exercise for each of the 3 main areas on 2 different days.

You can do total body workouts on 2 days with at least one rest day in between. Or you can rotate through upper body, lower body and core.

Post what you did.

Are you up to the challenge?
We need to keep our strength up and our bodies strong!
