Since my goals include cardio (which I've not done too badly at...from time to time) AND strength training (which I've pretty much ignored) I think I'll continue posting cardio here emoticon , even though cardio isn't one of the challenges this week. Maybe I'll get my ST established as well... emoticon It would be nice if there were some sort of Wii emoticon emoticon

emoticon Wii Tennis: 14 minutes...I was HORRIBLE! Playing best 3 out of 5, I lost 3 matches and only played 9 games! emoticon
emoticon Wii Baseball: 3 minutes...we finally got on the scoreboard, but lost 4 to 3
emoticon Wii Bowling: 15 minutes...only bowled 1 game with me bowling for 4 Miis

Total minutes 32. I may do more in a little while, but, I DID meet my minimum goal of at least 30 minutes 3 days this week.

Yes, fruit does have more calories than veggies do. On the other hand, we do need to eat a fair number of calories, so we can certainly fit some fruit in.

We can perhaps cut back on meat, fat, and staches, if need be.

No, I'm not in southern Ontario, Carla, I'm over the border in French land.

I went for an early bike ride today, and although I stuck to the shade and took it easy, it was exhausting. The temperature was 82 F/ 25 C and the humidex was 93 F.

I think I may take a day off of cardio tomorrow. It is supposed to be even hotter.

Just did 65 minutes. Left the house at 530 am to avoid the heat, but I didn't avoid the humidity! Sloloser, are you in southern Ontario as well? Isn't this weather gross???

And I also had my 5 vegs and fruits yesterday...fruits really add on the calories don't they! :)

Sure Sheryl, hope right in!

I did 40 min. of walking today. It was too hot and humid to ride my bike. I decided to wait until after the sun went down to do my exercise.

I waited until 11 pm. It was still so hot and humid that I wa sweating like crazy, just walking.

In my area there is a warning:
HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY WARNING IN EFFECT

It is after midnight and the temperature is still 28 C. The humidex is still 37 C.

( That is 82 F and 99 F)

Good Morning!!

New to the team and I was wondering if I can get into the challenge? I am a runner, cyclist and whatever else I can do person. I had a bad injury earlier in the year so I am making a comeback slow and easy.

This challenge is much like last week's cardio challenge: a quick one week challenge to meet your cardio goals.

Ideally we should be doing at least 30 min. at least 3 days a week. If for some reason you need to make that less, such as 10 min. a day, go ahead.

If you want to aim higher, go for it.

Post your goal here. It should be at least a 3x a week goal.

Then post each day you make that day's part of the goal.

We will continue until the end of the week - Saturday, July 12th.

Then next week I will send a Sparks Goodie to 3 people who have done their cardio a minimum of 3 days a week.
