Day 5: Complete

Yesterday, I walked 2.5 miles (45 minutes) in the morning and 1.5 miles (30 minutes) in the evening. Total: 4 miles (75 minutes) emoticon

(I got so excited about going on a date last night, I forgot to log in & report my exercise. oops!)

Day 6: Complete

Today I didn't get out for my walk, as I seem to have misplaced my motivation. But I have been cleaning my house all day, which has been quite a workout and surely counts as more than 60 minutes of cardio for today! And my pedometer says I've managed to walk 4.62 miles in total today. emoticon

Just on the reporting.

Day 5 - 1 mile walk

Day 6 - 2 mile brisk walk in the nice cool am. Felt like fall! What a gorgeous day so far and no humidity!

and 90 minutes of gardening, pruning, hauling, watering, fertilizing, etc.

I have completed my 25 minute pilates DVD everyday and on Monday and Wednesday I worked out in our pool. Good job everyone... Keep up the good work!!

I did 20 minutes of Leslie Sansone or 1 mile. I feel sore today, but I did it. They took off the 2 mile walk off of ondemand, but I have some DVD's that I can use.

Yesterday I walked for 30 minutes.

Today I'm planning to do 2 miles again with the Leslie Sansone, Walking Away Your Waistline DVD. This one uses the bands for toning as well, it's quite a workout, but feels great! Maybe by the end of this challenge, I'll be able to do the whole 3 miles.

I'm in! 30 minutes of brisk walking per day! Last week I started out doing great, but then I had a major issue with my ankles swelling so didn't do so well at the end of the week. The swelling was new for me, so I sort of freaked out, plus couldn't wear my walking shoes . Ankles & feet are better now! emoticon

I actually joined a gym partly so I would not freak out my adult, still living at home kids. (3 of them) However, I'm past that now, and they actually have come to appreciate that my bouncing around is actually good for me. Even if they find it a bit strange.

I'm going to go for thirty minutes of SOMETHING every day of the week - at work, if it's not raining, I can walk during my hour break, at home, I can either walk or ride my bike, and there's always the gym too if time permits... and if all else fails, I can turn on my music and DANCE! It's fun freaking out my 22 year old son, anyway!

This is a quick one week challenge to meet your cardio goals.

Ideally we should be doing at least 30 min. at least 3 days a week. If for some reason you need to make that less, such as 10 min. a day, go ahead.

If you want to aim higher, go for it.

Post your goal here today or tomorrow. (Until Monday, June 28th.)

Then post each day you make that day's part of the goal. Give yourself an emoticon!

We will continue until the end of the week - Saturday, July 3rd. On Saturday, post whether or not you made the goal. If you did it, give your self a thumbs up.
