So do you guys want to continue with the great 8 challenge or do you want a new challenge this year? It seems 8 was pretty difficult (I didn't make it by all means!). I was thinking a monthly 5 pound challenge or something of the sort would be more attainable. 5 lbs a month for 12 months would be 60 lbs lost in by the end of the year....or we can stay with the great 8...let me know!

I STILL Love this Challenge, The entire month of August, we had family visiting and SO MUCH FUN, roasting marshmellows over the fire and making smores, the kids kept making home made chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies.

I saw my doctor today and she was so proud that I was able to loose a pound with all this party and FUN TREATS and she said, GO PAULA!! This is a long term committment you have made and you have kept this weight off for several months NOW and YOU DID NOT GAIN DURING A HOLIDAY SO CELEBRATE THIS SUCCESS.

So this is the hardest I have worked to lose ONE pound and I'm PROUD OF IT.

Love this Challenge.

I wished I'd seen this. Someone invited me here. I was thinking the other day if I have ever lost this much in 7 weeks and I think I have but it was through starving and it came back. I am looking at trying to do a monthly loss .Sounds like this challenge is working.

Ok! I'm in! However, today I have to go to the gym to get my starting weight, I didn't weigh in when I went the day before. :P For us, We use Kilograms. Well, Im used to pounds, but living In NZ , well I kinda had to adapt :P Lol. So Ill find out today, and post it here! So I gotta lose 4kg this month. Sounds fair enough. Lets get the ball rolling then!

185lb -1lb in a month! Very poor but at least I didn't put on!

Good job, CEAKRIGHT! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm trying to ignore this minor setback and keep working hard. I'm hoping by the weekend I may have lost another half pound or maybe even a pound if I work hard. We'll see I guess.

Quite disappointed at this weigh-in. This past weekend I somehow went from 188 to 193 lbs in just a week (it has to be because of my period as I was doing everything right following my meal plan and exercising as usual!) Anyway, this morning I weighed myself and I'm at 191 as of this morning, but my start weight was 193, so not in a very good mood this week! Any of you other girls have mysterious (and dramatic!) weight changes at that time of the month? Please tell me that I'm not alone! emoticon I was doing so well, losing 1.5 lbs a week and then this.
