Hi everyone! Spring is but 10 days away, the sun is gracing us with it's presence more and more and longer and longer, construction has started on bridges, beaches are becoming active again... spring on the cape is a wonder (and a guess each day as to what the weather will do). As the change of season is here I'd like us to have a little Spring into Action Challenge.

How can we spring into action? It's small and big actions we take that lead us to the healthy lifestyle we desire. So here is what we shall challenge ourselves to do...

Small action: Drink your water for the day. Remember the more you move the more water you need!

Big action: Get moving! Exercise is essential to our healthy body. Get up and going no matter what it is as long as you are actively moving. Walk, run, cardio, yoga, belly dancing, jumping rope, skipping with joy, whatever your body tells you it wants to do. Do it for minimally 10 minutes and it'll count for your springing into action.

Your small action will count for 1 point each day you reach your goal.
Your big action will count for 5 points if 10 minutes-30 minutes, 10 points for 30 minutes-1 hour, and 15 points for anything greater than 1 hour.

Track your fitness minutes here on spark people and post to this forum your points for the day. I'll track the teams progress. This challenge will begin Sunday March 21, 2010 and continue until April 30, 2010.

Lacking motivation to spring into action? Maybe you can connect with someone here that lives right down the road and can motivate you to get off the couch and walk down the beach or bike down the canal. We are locals, let's motivate and support our neighbors and make some new friends along the way.

To start just post here and let me know you are motivated, excited, and rearing to go for this challenge!!!! I'll send out a reminder on March 20th that the challenge is beginning.
