Look, we're all human [even me!!!] emoticon

We all have a bad day now and then - we all make mistakes - we all get tired, cranky, discouraged, upset and feel a litany of other undesirable stuff - we all 'speak [or post] without thinking' - sure, it would be great if we were all perfect
emoticon
but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

So - Victoria [HikeToHeights] made a mistake in posting, getting mixed up between miles and minutes. She's probably gone back and re-entered the data by now but if not, I'm sure she will as soon as she has time. She's apologized and frankly, I don't care whether she did it accidentally, on purpose or if she pleads insanity - it's not my problem, none of my business and it doesn't affect me in any way at all.
emoticon
And now - MDWEBNECK has also made a mistake by posting what sounded like an angry accusation. The problem with written communication is that things often sound a lot worse than they were intended - I'm sure he's embarrassed about the posting and hurting inside because he's now left our team but I hope he will reconsider, rejoin and apologize. That was just another mistaken assumption and I'm sure he's sorry by now. I hope he will post a 'mea culpa' but either way, it's not my problem, none of my business and it doesn't affect ME in any way at all. And as I said, I'm sure he is embarrassed now.
emoticon
Except for the fact that it hurt my friend and that hurts me - but I know HikeToHeights and I will both 'get over it and move on' quickly - we're both pretty well adjusted people [speaking for her more than me, I suppose - haha!] and assuming MDWEBNECK is also pretty well adjusted, I'm sure we can work things out.

I know you are no longer a member of this great motivated team but you could still be getting this e-mail. Just because somebody made a mistake posting their miles/minutes doesn't mean they have no intregrity. Accidents happen and you don't need to be rude about pointing it out.

Just sent a thank you goodie to our spark team mate who so kindly double checked our minutes. Here is the note:

thanks for checking the numbers. I track most of my fitness (19 different teams) in either miles or minutes. I inadvertently tracked my miles in minutes, therefore, it just looks like they are bogus. However, I would really appreciate it if you could keep an eye on my minutes from here on out. Should I make such a ridiculous error again, I would appreciate you pointing it out to me. My goodness, I certainly did not hike 700 miles or whatever that said. Just switch it to minutes to see if it makes more sense to you. Victoria

Thanks for keeping such a close eye on what others post. Boy we sure are lucky to have you double checking our entries. I track for various teams, some in minutes, some in miles. Apparently I erroneously tracked minutes where it should have been miles. I am going to have to play closer attention. I have never double checked anyone's postings because I track so much already. Please let me know if I mess up again, no doubt, everyone appreciates it. However, you might want to rethink the accusations regarding integrity, especially where 99.9 % of the other tracking is accurate. Feel free to do more double-checking on my fitness minutes. I can also post pictures of my exercise equipment for you so that my integrity does not come into question again.

The challenge is really just for fun, and there is no prize, so I'm not sure what the concern is? I didn't even realize you could see how many miles others post....

highest weight ever:202, SP starting weight: 143

New goal: more practical new goal, 129, update ticker to reflect that goal.

I have no idea who or which challenge you are referring to or how you came to the conclusion there were erroneous mileages posted. But I participate in challenges to better myself, to have fun and to achieve personal goals. I personally don't really care whether anyone else is cheating or not cheating in a challenge I'm in because the only ones they would be cheating would be themselves - and I figure that's simply not my problem!

Happy trails!
