Wow KAYOTIC, that's sounds great! Bet it was beautiful at the summit.

I got in 4 runs last week with the forth one being a little bit further. My muscles sure were achy Saturday but I felt good and really happy with myself cause I know I'm making progress!

MOUNTAIN_RAIN, CALGALFOX & HOSERINO, how are your challenges coming along so far?

Got my second massage today, and booked another in 2 weeks. It was so nice, and then I undid all that relaxation with a 6.25 mile trail run up Castle Peak! Took us about 2 hrs 40 mins, and we had a little class 3 climb to the actual summit, but it was a beautiful day, and well worth the effort.

I hiked 8 miles on Saturday and 4 miles yesterday. I'm on schedule to complete the 30-mile length of Wildwood Trail in Portland's Forest Park this month. My ultimate goal is to complete the entire 30 miles in one day early next year to commemorate the two-year anniversary of my knee replacement and 80-pound weight loss.

I got in 3 small runs last week!! Feel real good about that.

emoticon KAYOTIC, felt so good you're going for another!! I just can't seem to get more than one yoga in a week, irritating to me so I started incorporating different yoga poses in with my ST (I do that 3 times a week faithfully) and that seems to be working.

I finally got that massage last Sunday, and have another one booked for next Saturday! It was so nice a relaxing, I really made a point of trying to stay in the moment. I think I can do even better next time. I'm also getting better with my stretching and yoga, so I'm making a lot of progress with these challenges!

Last week we did a spur of the moment river trip, so I only got in one day, but this week is off to a great start. I've ran twice so far.

Wow, you guys are great role models! We're getting massages down in Chinatown (in Los Angeles) on Thursday, I can't wait!

Hmmm...I've always been a walker/hiker, but with all of the running, biking and swimming I've been doing, I haven't walked as much. I think I'll re-commit to walking/hiking a couple of days a week.

Good choices Rondarc and Mountain rain!

I keep thinking I need to look into scheduling a massage, but keep putting it off, so that's my goal, get a massage this month, and look into making it a semi-regualar thing.

Yes, I'd say that is definitely something to be proud of!! You've really come a long way since January and overcome a lot! I so hope you'll be able to continue your small runs. You are a real inspiration!!

WooHoo MOUNTAIN_RAIN!! That's so exciting, let me know how your hike goes.

OK, I'm apprehensive on this one, so it's probably the best one. I'm going to do my small run (that's maybe 1/4 mile) 3 times a week.

A little background, in Jan 2001, I was diagnosed with a skull base brain tumor and underwent 16 hours of surgery and haven't been able to run since because I lost most of my upper body/shoulder/neck strength and whenever I would try to run, it would cause a lot of pain where the surgery was.
Back in August just goofing around, I jogged a little on a hiking path DH & I walk just about every morning. It didn't hurt, so I started jogging it one or two times a week.

Like I said, it's not a far jog, but it's something I'm proud of.
