It would seem I am bassackwards from most people who replied to this message board. I too often get too much fiber and not enough fat or carbs. Oh and I am just recently starting to get enough salt. Before I wasn't getting enough, which wasn't helping my thyroid problem.

Fruit and veggies make good snacks. Avoid bananas. They bruise too easily.

I like apples and oranges warm. However, I have brought carrots, cucumbers, and even zucchini.

my biggest challenge is finding healthy, portable snacks that I enjoy to bring to class with me. There are times I go hours without having somewhere to store cold snacks so I end up having to compromise. Suggestions??

Well, we learn by doing, I guess.

Personally, I don't worry about not getting enough fat. (Maybe I should. I don't.)

For protein, I might have some milk, cheese, or yogurt if I don't think I had enough. Or if we have nuts in the house, that will give me both protein and healthy fat.

Since I have only been doing this for 8 days, I find them all to be challenging. One day its not enough protein or calories, the next day it is too much fat, or not enough fiber. emoticon

I think mine is fiber. I can usually stay within my ranges but fiber always falls short.

Carbs, I really need to keep mine under 175 grams per day if not lower in order to see any consistent weight loss. Guess I should be tracking again. emoticon

Since I've been using the wonderful Nutrition Tracker I have found that I'm usually over in calories and fat and too low in folate. I am a terrible snacker and love to bake, so I know where I'm failing. Looking for healthy snacking options.

Mainly too much salt, and not enough protein.

Too much salt?
Not enough calcium?
Not enough iron? Too much iron?

Fiber?
Protein?
Carbs?
Sugar?

Calories?

What are your biggest nutritional challenges?

I think mine is currently calories, but I have others. When I track it, I often find I'm low in magnesium.
