VO2Max at 51 and age at 31. -8 years which is pretty close to most tests.

Tad of a grumpy mood. Went out to eat and thought I did okay, but checked nutrition info when I got home and they must bathe that pasta in olive oil, as the serving size isn't that large, grilled chicken for meat and no cheese, no side of bread. The salad dressings were just as bad. I asked the waiter if they had any low fat salad dressings and he first named the balsamic vinagrette and well, that was what the house salad comes with, hence why he named it. It is about as high a salad dressing as one can find. No wonder my stomach was slightly mad at me. It hates fat, even when I think I do okay, it tells me otherwise. Just having a frustrated with trying to get back to my goal weight day.

VO2 max was 49. Fitness age was younger than 20. My real age is 58.

It says younger than 20, but I don't FEEL that age, lol.

My V02 max was calculated at 43, fitness age at 24, my real age is 50.

I will take a look at the more detailed test as this one I think can be misleading, depending on what you put in for exercise intensity and depending on resting pulse, which is not just an indicator of fitness but also of blood pressure, with low blood pressure often resulting in a higher resting pulse even for fit people.

The NYT had a fun article recently, that the refusetoregain.com folks blogged about. There is a link in the article to a fitness age calculator based on a research study.

"You’ll need your waist measurement and your resting heart rate. To determine it, sit quietly for 10 minutes and check your pulse; count for 30 seconds, double the number and you have your resting heart rate. Plug these numbers, along with your age, sex and frequency and intensity of exercise, into the calculator, and you’ll learn your fitness age."
