I surpassed 1,500 fitness minutes for July and hit my highest monthly level since beginning SparkPeople: 1,827 (if I stop for today :D).

Back to bootcamp class today and did 8 sets of 8 push ups for a total of 64 push-ups!! I surprised myself too!!!! emoticon

I ran over 5 miles today and my IT band is "behaving." I'm doing longer warm-ups and cool downs, making sure I stretch after I run and I have been power walking the hills. I power up and down them and that seems to take some of the

Hit the trail head of Piestewa Peak at 5 a.m. this morning. 990 ft elevation change to the top according to MapMyFitness. Wiki puts it at 1,190!!

I've been on vacation all week. Here in the U.P. there are lots of good traditional foods here. Pasties and Mackinaw Island Fudge Ice Cream are a staple for us when we visit. There are great little restaurants with home style pizza, homemade fries, steaks, fish, etc.

However, I weighed in this morning and I am still at the lower end of my weight range! emoticon

I'm obviously eating "right" even though I'm eating higher calorie food. I think I've actually figured this whole maintenance thing out!

I hit a personal record (timewise) on my Tuesday morning hike! The last month, I've been going to the same trail every Tuesday and this week, only one of my two hiking partners was able to come. We really pushed it! :D

I got to run again this morning. I felt my IT band, but it wasn't painful so I just did a nice easy run. I didn't try to go too fast and I walked down the hills. (Down hills seem to really make it worse.) I'm going to go easy and hopefully I'll not develop the same problems! emoticon

Being fit and healthy enough that I can handle doing my park workouts outside in spite of the heat. I used to break a sweat doing pretty much nothing, but now I'm conditioned enough that I can handle the heat and humidity so much better.

Though I haven't been exercising consistently, I was easily able to walk home from dropping off my car at the mechanic's: 45 minutes before a stop for breakfast and another 10 after.

This may not be a big deal for some, but for me it is major and made my day. I have never been able to do a quad stretch (even with holding on to something), but today I DID IT. I was waiting for some water to boil and decided to so a little exercising after which I tried a quad stretch (my finger tips resting on the counter) and with out any effort at all it happened.

I'm not going to wait for another week to post.

I got a loan servicing company to waive the late fee on a payment because I showed them it was their mistake not alerting me that an automatic payment plan would not go into effect for another month. I also found out (separately) that I have been being overcharged for property taxes and will be getting the paperwork to rectify that. This is a victory because I hate doing this kind of stuff! But I toughed it out. (These are the kind of things I used to eat to avoid. I quit eating over it, but I didn't quit avoiding. Working on it!)

Going clothes shopping and fitting comfortably into European size mediums. I can't remember the last time I was a medium, even in (often) oversized American clothes!

Since transitioning to maintenance at the end of April, I have found that I always look at the scale to see if I am within my margin, sometimes forgetting how far I have come with my physical stamina and endurance and so much more. I think it is helpful to post a NSV each week to help remember how far I have come and to keep me motivated to keep up the good work. Pease join me. I will be posting every Tuesday and my weigh-in day is Friday. Looking forward to seeing your victories.

This week, my NSV is running 2 miles in 20 minutes yesterday. Never did that before!!!
