Hi Everyone,

I'm scrambling to close out the ending challenge today and will set up a new one.

(I'm flying to Argentina tonight for a week of kayaking plus some horse trekking.)

I will set up the new challenge to accept sign ups from today until Monday, Dec. 17.

The first week of weight logging will be Tuesday Dec 18 - Monday Dec 24.

That challenge will go 8 weeks and end on Feb 11. Since Feb 12 is Mardi Gras, we will call it the Mardi Gras challenge. :-)

If you guys want to run an interim challenge between now and December 18, go for it!

Hmmmm...I guess 140 was just a pipe dream. If we have a follow-on challenge, I need to reconsider my center point, as I seem to keep hanging in there at 143. I was thinking yesterday that when I first went into the Air Force, 143 was the max allowed weight for my height, age, and gender, and I struggled to stay below that. As time went on, the AF revised the max weights up, and by the time I retired, I had trouble staying below the new max weight of 161. And then things just got worse until I ended up at 224 (220 when I started SP).

Up after a week away but still within range. Sodium and pasta and eating out for a whole week! So I am thankful to have this challenge to keep me focused on healthful living.

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

I'd been away from home and hadn't weighed for quite a few days. Was 133.0 this morn which is in range but toward the top. Yesterday was a high sodium day and I expect to be back to 129 in a day or so. We'll see.

ONEKIDSMOM is definitely in range; guess she forgot to post. She looks healthy and very slim! She visited me here in Florida (for our half marathon) and was away from home, too.

-go on with the healthy lifestyle learned in weight loss phase
-just add healthy foods gradually to stop losing
-work out every day - 30-60 minutes is enough to maintain weight and good mood
-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work
-avoid overeating, instead of satisfaction you get stronger cravings

It takes a couple of minutes sometimes for the update to show up, so if you don't see yourself on there immediately, check back in a few minutes. If in doubt you can always log more than once. I'll just keep the later measurement.

Even if you went over or under your range, continue to check in because 1) there will be consolation prizes for staying in the challenge and 2) we will still calculate your average deviation and graph your progress.
