Here is the idea. I strongly believe that "it is more blessed to give than to receive", not even in a religious sense, but in a very practical sense. To give generously from our abundance can be a very important tool for our own emotional and mental well-being and thereby also our physical well-being. It is a powerful tool to maintain health which is why I thought this would be a good challenge for the maintenance team.
I also believe that the quality of our giving has a lot more to do with meeting real needs rather than wants (which we so often focus on around the holidays). This could be material things but often it's not. It could be an ability we have, it could be words of encouragement, friendship, practical help etc.
So here is my challenge for those who would like to participate:
Try to find
- one thing every week you do for yourself (that is good for you)
- one thing every week you do for a family member or friend
- one thing every week you do for a complete stranger

You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN OTHERS.
