Oh, no! I didn't see my name on the list. What happened? Well, I weighed, I entered, and I reported. What I didn't do was log my weight for the challenge. Curses! emoticon

This challenge is great for me, as well as for others, apparently. Thanks for keeping it going. And I'll just keep tracking and trying.

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

2011 was a banner year for me with it's highs and temporary lows. The consistent was this great team. I thank you all for the support towards a new me! I think I will take a break from challenges until after my Half Marathon. I want to see if I will have a lower optimum weight. Don't get me wrong. Everything stays the same. I don't believe in taking breaks. I love the healthy lifestyle for what it really is....for life. I'm still accountable and I will still post. This is how we roll now! Wishing everyone the best year ever! Go strong!

Just entered my ending weight for the challenge. I was on the higher end the entire time, but still managed to stay within range. I noticed that I ate more sweets and didn't do as much cardio or strength training during the challenge, so those will be the areas I'll really focus on. Happy New Year's to everyone! Last week logged!! This challenge was HUGE!

I am very proud of staying in my range, pretty much ON my number for six out of eight weeks. The first deviation was at the beginning (and actually corrected back to goal two days later, on my normal weigh-in day). My second deviation is this final weigh-in and I am working to get this back down by next Wednesday, the 4th, my first weigh-in of the New Year!

Last New Year's Eve 2010, I weighed in at 164 lbs.
This New Year's Eve 2011, I weighed in at 121.5 lbs. (too bad one can't SCARE THE DAYLIGHTS out of a little extra weight - when I hopped on the scale without my glasses this am, I thought it read 127.5 and nearly collapsed!! hehehe... WHAT?!)

emoticon emoticon emoticon

Many, many thanks to you wonderful people of Maintenance!! A special thanks to 4A-HEALTHY-BMI for this challenge. It made ALL the difference. One must stay accountable and this was a great challenge to keep me sane and not lose my head this holiday season.

Logged for week 8. Up a pound plus a bit, but still within range. Yippee! But I'm at the beach amid multiple temptations, so whether I continue to hold is still up in the air. The good news is that i am getting more than the normal amount of exercise. Hope it balances out.

Will there be a first of 2012 challenge? I sure hope so because this challenge is a big help to me.

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

Ooops! The good thing is that I am maintaining. The no so good thing is that I'm terrible about entering my data in this great challenge. The first time I took a Spark vacation to visit my 84 year old mom. This time I have no excuse. Congrats to those who are doing it! Maybe next time I'll get it right.

This challenge will run for 8 weeks total (through January 2). You now have until midnight, Eastern time Monday to record your weight for this week.
spreadsheets0.google.com/spreadsheet
/v
iewform?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&formkey=dER>U3MFJ3SDB4UDFmLUtveEd0elRNN3c6MQ#gid=0

This link is the same every week, so you can just bookmark it if you want. There won't be a reminder sent, so put it on your calendar.

To see if you've already logged your weight for the week, go here:
spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/
pu
b?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0Ah4KrA4GkhKR>gdEU3MFJ3SDB4UDFmLUtveEd0elRNN3c&out

It takes a couple of minutes sometimes for the update to show up, so if you don't see yourself on there immediately, check back in a few minutes. If in doubt you can always log more than once. I'll just keep the later measurement.

Even if you went over or under your range, continue to check in because there will be consolation prizes for 1) staying in the challenge and we will still calculate your average deviation and graph your progress.

These folks didn't check in, and so dropped from the challenge.

I'm up, but not worried, since the scale weight actually went down this morning from yesterday morning (different scale though...so it's hard to say really!) And I'm sticking to my 2 days of tracking per week, starting today for this week.

logging in my highest of this challenge, but still feeling good!

highest weight ever:202, SP starting weight: 143

New goal: more practical new goal, 129, update ticker to reflect that goal.

Yesterday was so very hard, staying away from the treats. In the end I ate more than my normal plan (1600), but under 2000 calories. I did pretty well, but I noticed that resisting temptations over a prolonged period really takes something out of you. I was exhausted when I got home! LOL

Never, ever, EVER give up!

From BMI 53 (336 lbs) to under 30. Now aiming for less than 20% body fat.

I've been on the higher end of my range this entire challenge. Looking forward to the holidays ending, getting the sweets out of the house and resuming my routine, both eating and exercising! One week to go for this challenge, which is enough motivation to see it through to the end!

Week 7 logged at 166.5. Average weight is up 0.7 lb. on a binge day and 3 day recovery; that episode might be what keeps me above the bottom of the challenge range through week 8.

After being on the road since this past Saturday and in Lincoln, Neb since Wednesday, I weighed in at 170 today. I guess after hearing horror stories of how hard it is to maintain on the road, I have become defiant about staying at my goal weight! We are training on the road and eating healthy. The key for me is portion control. Bottom line, I feel damn good! Hooahhh!

Just weighed in for week 7- back down to 143 (my posted goal weight for the challenge)

I have been feeling sick all week and haven't been able to eat much at once time, so I fear it will go back up next week.

Week 7 and still in range.

I have NEVER been in control during the holidays. The next 2 weeks will really tell if I am in control or not, though. It's not just the holiday; we're going away for a winter beach vacation. Lots of eating out already planned. Fortunately, we are also planning lots of bike riding.

The good news is that the braces are off my teeth. Finally I will be able to eat all the kinds of foods I have been missing, from salad (which is good, of course) to nuts (good for protein but not for fat, as we all know). However, the retainers are on, and even after just one day, I can tell that they will help control my weight. No more grabbing a snack or a bite or a taste here and there--not without immediate mouth maintenance!

Love this challenge! Thanks to all of you for supporting it--and me!

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

To see if you've already logged your weight for the week, go here:
spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/
pu
b?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0Ah4KrA4GkhKR>gdEU3MFJ3SDB4UDFmLUtveEd0elRNN3c&out
put=html

Week 6 posted at my average weight of 165.8. The trend seems to be sideways for the past thee weeks, so I may yet squeak by in range for all 8 weeks. More importantly, I'm happier with my current weight than my several weeks ago estimate of ideal.

Weighed in this morning and discovered that I've dropped more than a pound! But I'm still in range. Barely, and only if I have done my math right. I have NEVER in my life been in a situation where I couldn't stand to lose a few (more, really) pounds, so this is a very strange situation, indeed.

Yesterday happened to be a light eating day, especially at dinner, with heavy exercise as we continue to try to return the house to some semblance of order after a major bathroom and bedroom remodeling project. So I thought about waiting until tomorrow to weigh and record, especially since today and tonight are likely to turn today into a heavy eating day.

But I decided to be fair to myself and to the challenge and stick with my standard day for weighing in. So now it's "official." I just hope I'm not officially out of the running!

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.
