Thank you all! This morning I weighed 113, so I am coming down slowly (or relatively quickly I guess). Now I'm finding that my skin was so stretched out, it is wrinkling and hanging in bags where I was bloated. I hope this too will pass!

I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

I don't think you "blew" anything. It was totally out of your control and the weight will come off again it is just a lot of retained water. I hope you are back to 100% soon.

Denise, glad to hear your better! I'm so glad it was just from the saline drip. Keep up the good work Denise and you will do good next time around!

Food goodness sakes, this is not blowing anything in my book!

I am glad you are better.

As someone who gets up a lot at night to use the washroom, my advice also is to make sure you are close to the facilities!

Emergency room trips and saline solution are NOT the same as eating 10 pounds worth of food! Hope you feel better soon. You will, for sure, and you'll get right back on track. That's what we healthy maintainers are all about, right?

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

Denise, saline does that. I had surgery not long ago and wasn't allowed to eat after midnight. I (of course) weighed myself before going in for the surgery. After 6 hours of saline drip and nothing by mouth, I finally went home and had gained 6 pounds. I spent the next two days peeing, so be sure to be near a bathroom.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

That's just the bloat and exhaustion both mental and physical from going through an arduous medical thing.

Drink lots of fluids and you'll pee it out pretty effortlessly (aside from maybe having to make a lot of annoying trips to the john in the middle of the night).

I'd hardly call getting saline solution in the ER blowing it on your part! Get well and things will go back to normal. emoticon

The saline bloat will work its way out in about a week. Kind of shocking, though, isn't it!

I've been keeping up with the challenge, but this Sunday I went into the ER and ended up having surgery on Monday. Not only did I miss the deadline for the weigh in this week, but they gave me so much saline solution while I was in the hospital that I went from weighing 106.5 on Sunday morning to weighing 119 on Tuesday when I was released. Good luck to those of you who are still in the challenge!
