I go up and down 1-3 pounds all the time. I prefer it not to go up, but what can you do?

You'll need to go through the steps to get to Stage 4. Frankly, it's been so long ago, I don't remember them. But I'm guessing you can move through quickly. You'll do great!

continue to track, drink your water and stay on program. Its no different that when you were losing weight. Your weight will fluctuate up and down and as long as you know you are on program, don't sweat it.

Do not stress, body weight fluctuates all the time, mostly due to fluid retention. Vary your nutrition, stay within recommended calories, exercise and see how you go. Make sure you read SP advice on maintaining.

I've been maintaining for over 4 years and weigh just once a week. When I gain a pound or two,
I just get a little extra exercise and cut out dessert for the next week and usually I'm back a goal in a week or two. Making sure you drink plenty of water (8 glasses a day) especially in hot weather is very important, too. Welcome to the team. We're all aiming toward the same goal - a healthy lifestyle we can stick with from now on. I believe Sparkpeople is the answer.

Our "block" loves new kids!! Welcome! You'll always have fluctuations, so I pay more attention to weekly weigh-ins. SP has a healthy lifestyle check up every 2 weeks, and I use that as my barometer. I'm going to go look for where to find it and add that info here for you. God bless you as you conginue on this Life-long Journey to Health!

OK ... For your bi-weekly Lifestyle Check-ups, on your Start page, if you have achieved your goal, the box toward the middle should say "You are in Spark Diet Stage 4". Click on that and there will be a place you can click for Go to Healthy Lifestyle Checkup. You will post today's weight and evaluate your progress in things like eating the right foods, getting enough exercise, drinking enough water, etc. And they'll ask how you feel about your confidence, your energy level, your appearance, etc. They'll give you a few tips. In 2 weeks you'll get an email reminder that it's time for your next Lifestyle Checkup. If you don't click on the link, you won't get more reminders, but you can always go back and find it again, post current weight, and be back on the schedule.

Just keep going. Weight loss is not an exact science and sometime your body retains water or even gets used to what you are eating and you have to switch things up. ie, change what you are eating, exercise a bit more, sometimes even eat a bit more to account for extra calories burned...what ever you do, don't give up over a 1lb gain!emoticon
