I Mainly practice vinyasa flow, and have been for the past year and a half emoticon
The benefits Ive been noticing so far is:
- better posture.
- im more patient and understanding
- improved duration.
- better skin.
- stronger, leaner muscles.
- im flexible.

I also find that yoga helps you set the mood for the rest of the day of practiced in the golden hour(morning) And that it actually makes me crave healthy stuff like lemonwater, vegetables and fruit. Anyone else had this experience?

Meg, one of the ways that yoga helps me with sleep is to use my breath as a way to dampen my racing mind. I either count my breaths, or focus on feeling the breath enter and leave my lungs or use the mantra so hum... so on inhale and hum on exhale... I don't actually say them, but hear them in my head.

i haven't been doing regular yoga for very long, but i already feel more relaxed during my other daily activities. i find it very helpful for combatting stress. i'm an insomniac so i'm hoping that eventually it will also help me sleep a bit better.

I love the saying about yoga that how we practice reflects how we live and vice versa. I can see my ambitious nature being evoked when I am determined to get into a pose instead of letting the pose into my body. I can see the calm from the mat oozing into my relationships with others in my life. I feel as if yoga has been a gift of learning about life.

I do not get to practice yoga every day. That said, I have still increased my flexibility and on the days I practice, I have a better sense of "calm" than normal. My work can be very stressful and I feel I'm being pulled in several directions simultaneously, so calm is a very good thing. I have also found yoga to be great for upper body strength, which was not great before. It's a wonderful practice for me!

Since I practice Yoga I feel that my flexibility has increased physically and mentally. I've became more patient and positive despite the stressful situation I've been through the last 2 years, it has helped me to see the silver lining: an obstacle is not the end of the world but an opportunity to improve and move forward...It hasn't come from one day to another, it has built up day by day......

I never really planned to get a lot of mental benefit from yoga. I never liked meditating or the "ohm" part of yoga. I just liked what it did for my body and found it refreshing. But after years of yoga practice (off and on some years) I found that it really did change my mentality.
It allowed me to relax myself in times of stress and to be more conscious of my reactions in certain situations.
When practicing consistently over time, I definitely find myself happier and more centered than when not practicing consistently.

My daily yoga practice, designed for me by an excellent teacher, brings me great vitality and mellowness at the same time. I find that those things that used to really irritate me may cause a brief rise in anxiety which immediately flows away as I tune into my yoga feelings. And I know my breathing can really help me in heavy traffic!!!

Hello! I'm starting my yoga practice, focusing on hot yoga. My classes is an asthanga form to power yoga. I decided to challenge myself for 60 days and attend yoga class 5 times a week. So far, I'm done with week 1, completed 6 classes and already loving it. But I'm wondering how I will change mentally and physically. I am blogging about my experience and want to hear about yours!

What results have you found while practicing your favorite form of yoga? Let's inspire each other with our stories.
