That makes me wonder whether you're having some kind of reaction with your mat. Maybe it's worth having a dermatologist or family doctor look at your toes.

They look like blood blisters under the skin, on the bottoms and tips of my toes.. (but not the tops.)

When I do a sun salutation, getting into and out of the lunge and D.D. seems to hit all the affected parts of my toes.

Are the spots like bruises and only on the underside of the toes? And only in downward dog, not from poses like lunges, which also press your toes against the mat? Or is it like a skin reaction to the rubber?

It might help if you could describe them in more detail.

Has anyone ever had this? I have mystery 9painful)red spots on my toes, only where they touch the mat when I'm moving through sun salutations.

Weird.
