Also from Megan Garcia - Just My Size Yoga is a DVD released from the brand Just My Size. It's 45 minutes long and it was what made me fall in love with yoga. She is a great instructor and it's easy to watch the DVD first before doing the poses with her. I found doing them both step by step and then as a flowing routine and it's a great work out. I borrowed it from my local library and am looking for it to buy to keep :-) I just requested her book to read through as well so I'm looking forward to that :-)

As a 6 ft 3 huge chap who does Yoga (over 1 year now) just remember every one starts out somewhere and the important thing is not to compare yourself to others - your yoga is yours and its more important to improve over time than anything else
I also joined a yoga studio and, just like ANNALEA was very nervous. I thought it was going to be really intimidating and that I wouldn't be able to do anything. I've been practicing yoga for about 6 months now and I LOVE my class! Yoga is all about accepting yourself no matter where you are; as my teacher always says, "You are right where you need to be." Those words have helped me countless times. Don't feel intimidated!!

Hey. So I know that this doesn't relate directly to your post because you are looking for online sources but I clicked on this link because I thought it was about bigger people doing yoga (in a class setting).
If anybody else clicks on this link because they have been asking themselves 'Am I too Fat for Yoga" - I would like to say ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I put off joining a yoga studio for the longest time because I thought I was too fat! Just over a month I decided that I would do the trial month and it ended up being the best decision I have ever made! There are other full figured women in my class - some who are much larger than me - and our instructors are very good at giving modifications for all body sizes and abilities.
Honestly - there are stick-skinny people in my class who can't do poses that I can do - it is not just about weight!
If you are interested in doing a studio class I urge you to give it a try. It is so relaxing and is really a great environment to be in. :)

I found a wonderful book "MEGA YOGA" by Megan Garcia, she is a full figured model that does and teaches yoga for larger sizes. This book explained and showed so many wonderful things to me about yoga. I believed I could learn yoga after reading it, and I have and continue to do so.
NAMASTE --The divine in me honors and respects the divine in you.
Just for today I will do my best to do what is Good, kind, right, and nice, even when it is difficult.
I love a good stretch so i thought yoga would be perfect for me, I went to my trusty friend (google) and typed in "Yoga for fat people" and was given numerous links to some very helpful websites but nothing that I really wanted. So I turned to my other friend (youtube) to see if I could find any heavier people doing a yoga segment... sadly no luck there. HOWEVER I did find a nice lady who teaches yoga for bigger people but still I have a hard time moving around and trying to keep my eyes on my laptop to see what shes up to.
My Question: Anyone know of a good website catering to us larger people who enjoy or want to enjoy Yoga?
With Kind Regards,
I can do it I want to do it I will do it I am doing it I am worth it I deserve it!
Time to be a little selfish when it comes to my health.... so ME ME ME ME ME!
