This booklet is awesome! Don't shy away from doing this!
Involve your kids in this challenge! Make a personalized plan of something they would like to learn to do. You can start small. You can change it as you go along. Maybe your kids would really like to learn more about where the money in your house goes...Maybe they want to learn how to cook. Maybe they want to learn how to do pushups!
Here are some common ones for kids:
*Learning about money, like how to save it, how it gets spent...or what is it? How much is a penny? How much is a nickel? Plenty of resources on that! Songs and videos!
*How to be healthy, like what is blood pressure? how do fruits and vegetables help me. What exercises would they like to learn? Yoga?
*How to achieve? How can they do well at math or kickball? What would they like to practice? music?
*How to manage themselves? like how they control their actions or reactions...Talk about emotions.
*How to work well with others? again emotional intelligence. Being able to problem solve social problems or situations.
*Help your child get organized. Like understanding organizing their rooms. Laying out their clothes. Planning ahead.
In your "my trackers" tab on sparkpeople in the "other goals" you could track their goals, maybe how much time you spent on that goal!
NO MORE EXCUSES WITH TEN MINUTE WORKOUTS!
