Wildwood trail!

#2 is parking on the east side of the Hawthorne Bridge and crossing over to tromp around down town for both fitness and people watching. I also like the Esplanade/Waterfront Park loop.

My husband just got my bicycle working for my birthday, so I can ride on my birthday. The bikes at the gym do not fit me,my legs are to short. Wish me luck. Farmers market is my first jont.

Portland area farmer's markets are the greatest! I came home with a week's worth of fresh produce today.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Hard cider, now that sounds good. I've been to Edgefield a few times, it's really pretty there, but far away for me. The company I work for does retreats at Kennedy School, it's always a nice break from work.

I forgot, one of my favorite things is the farmers market!

De-stressing on Monday nights at McMenamin's Edgefield in the Wine Cellar (in the cold months) or outside by the Little Red Shed (in the warm months) and a stroll around the place just being mellow. They have the best hard cider...oh my! and Ruby Red Ale, yum!
I'm way out on the east side so Edgefield is the closest McMenamin's but the others are nice too. I like the Kennedy School.

I like the Saturday market, but its kinda hard with younger kids...I enjoy finding new parks with good playgrounds to play at...taking a bike ride with the family is always fun too!!!

Hey Chuck,

Let's see if this will work. I've just mapped and shared the route for the Waterfront Park walk.

I have not done the Waterfront loop and not sure what the route entails. Sounds like fun. Guess I should get more used to Max and venture to downtown Portland more often. Has anyone submitted the loop onto Sparks MapMyRun?

I had to chuckle at Chuck's comment about going to the gym a LOT this year. True!

I'm with Gaye - walking the Waterfront is great.
I've found walking/running along the Columbia River walking/biking trail is great as well.
There are the waterfalls to visit, albeit they are outside of Portland.
Meandering through Saturday Market is always a good time and you never know when you're going to find a treasure you simply must have!
I'm finding that I really enjoy volunteering for different running events. It's a great way to give back to the running community and be involved.
Volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank was a great experience and we should probably figure out a time to go back as a team.

Finally, probably the thing I enjoy most is walking our dogs around our neighborhood. I like where we live in NE Portland and walking the blocks is just a nice way to pass time.

What about you? What do YOU like to do, Tisten23?

When the weather permits I really like walking the Waterfront loop. I also like visiting the Portland Art Museum.

When the sun comes out it is motorcycle weather and when it is raining it is time for the gym. Have been to the gym a lot this year emoticon
