Saterdays We are out of town.
Chuck, one of these days we're actually going to meet! LOL I think I've seen you a few times but can't confirm it. I'm happy to organize these outings, and will do what I can to get more of these going.
Travel safe when you go!

I applaud you with your efforts with food drives. I would like to help at one of your events you set up. I will be out of town May 12th on my annual Run For The Wall event in So. Cal.
Maybe next time. Thanks for your service to the community.

I don't think my back could hold up with the lifting boxes part; not for 3 hours for sure. Spent a good part of yesterday carrying my 10 month granddaughter around and boy, do I feel it today!
I will make an effort to drop off some food at my post office though.
Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
I received an email this morning from the Oregon Food Bank about a volunteer opportunity and thought I'd share it here.
I'm not available the day of this event. If someone would like to head up the effort, we can put together a team, or just have individuals sign up. Either way works.
Letter Carriers Food Drive *We still need more volunteers!
On Saturday, May 12th, OFB volunteers will be taking over the post offices to help collect food for our biggest one-day food drive of the year. This year, our goal is to collect over 600,000 lbs of food! It takes a lot of people helping to collect and pack up this amazing amount of food. But we can do it with your help!
There are 2 jobs we need help with:
1. Adopt-a-Route volunteers who work in teams picking up food from residences and bringing it to nearby post offices.
2. Volunteers stationed at post offices who collect food as it arrives and box it up so it can be brought back to the food bank.
Come help drive hunger out Oregon! Shifts last between 2-4 hours. Check out our website using this link for more information and to sign up.
