It's absolutely beautiful today! May be a great weekend for races! I'm soaking up a little vitamin D after running errands all morning and visiting DH in hospital.

Have not don many stares but on the weekend I walk a hill. The Neighbor is about 600 ft elevation the barn is between Neighbors house and ours 1400 ft elevation. Walking from the barn to the house without stopping is why I went in to get my heart murmur fixed. Which is when they decided I needed two veins replaced. That was May and June 2011. If I walk slow enough I can do it now.

Thanks for the reminder. I researched the stairs last year and have been thinking about them again lately. I need to put them on my agenda for this Spring.

Banker-Chuck thanks for the reference there are some stairways listed there that I never knew about.

Excellent! Thank you--the website actually even had the name of the book I had somewhere in my subconscious. "The Portland Stairs Book" by Laura O. Foster if anyone else was curious.

There's a set of stairs that go down a bit up the hill from the Vista bridge. Check this out.

I just read about either an app or a book or a website or something (Ha! Let me narrow it down for you, huh?) that listed/discussed fun stairways in Portland. Does this sound familiar to any of you? Does anyone know where to find it? It seems a good alternative to the step mill at the gym.
