Those folks in Fargo are so brave. Even though we're not there to help with sandbagging, we CAN HELP out with lots of PRAYING!

Let's shower them with "petals of prayers" and beg the Lord to protect their city from the floodwaters.

I saw the report on Fargo on the noon news today. How sad. Our Mississippi and minor rivers are all rising. We definitely need a drying out.

Now the frost isn't out yet so water everywhere and in my basement. I am just glad I'm not in Fargo ND and that area. I will take what I have over theirs. I am seeing spring bird returning so that is hopeful.

Weather man says we have snow on the way too. Ugh!
My friend in Washington state is welcoming the snow as it is so dry where she lives. Two different perspectives - hers and mine. We don't need any more moisture but will take what we get and be thankful.

Have a blessed day. Hugs, Sunny

I'm bummed about missing some beautiful days outside this week... if nothing else, the weeds in the yard needed to be cut before it rained again! But too late for that now. They'll just have to grow a little more before they get chopped back... Most of my daffodils are gone - a few still blooming, but not many. Garlic is up and a few of my peas. I'm not sure whether to replant the missing spots or not. Guess I'll give them a few more days to show their little heads... Just hoping the baby baby spinach don't get snapped up by birds or bunnies...although with the heavy rain we're getting tonight, they might get drowned or beaten down. Hoping for the best, tho!

74 degreees today! My husband and I are out in the yard, getting ready for the snow tomorrow. Typical spring, but we'll be one step and one day closer to planting time!

It has been dry in Kansas. We need some rain...
I have several perennials in pots and also lots of daffodils that are about to bloom. Tuesday I went out and water all of them. Everything was looking wilty. I don't usually have to water this early in the season....
Please send some your rain this way!!

We had weather in the 70s for two days, got rain last night and it will be in the 50s for a few days. I'll take it though- I can practically see my perennials growing!

The weather in Central Arkansas keeps playing tricks on us. One week it's high 70's and the next we're at freezing temps again! So I'm holding back on planting the more tender stuff but did get some carrots and radishes going this weekend.
Also hoping the big Dahlias and Lily of the Valley plants will do well . . . . I'm worried about the Gladiola bulbs.

It has been real cold again in Michigan, too. I look forward to the warm-up.

About the weeding, I don't mind it at all. When the kids are especially rambunctious, I need to get outside for some peace and quiet. I relieve some stress, and have the satisfaction of the beds looking good afterwards. If they get too weedy, that can be another form of stress for me....ack!

Well winter returned here and supposed to be below freezing tonight and ice. I really hope the ice covers our fruit blooms and sets. Hugs. Barb

Here in MN we just had a storm that dropped 8" on us with ice first. We have way to much snow yet to even think about a garden. We also have a saying up here and that is "It's tournament season here for high school sports and we always get a lot of snow at this time." One thing I can say about snow at this time of year is that it will not last as long as if it was November and getting hit. We had -2 last night and it only got up to 16 for the high today. By next Thursday we are or could get up to 50 degrees. This time of year we don't know what we are going to get from one day to the next. emoticon

The daffodils look like they are getting ready to bloom, and I saw color on the hyacinth. I love it! Now if only it would just warm back up...

I agree about being excited about Spring! My favorite time of year!
Before I retired friends use to ask me how I managed to keep my flower beds looking so nice, don't I hate to weed all of the time?
I told them that weeding is a great time to release all of the stress and anger from work. I just go out and name each weed after my boss, or who, or whatever, stressed me out that day.
Then what a joy and release to PULL them out and toss them!!! LOL

I just have to say how excited I am that it's beginning to warm up around here (Salt Lake City). I know that our typical spring can
give us some snow throughout the next couple of months, but for the most part, it's drying out time. I'm so excited to get my garden in and am looking forward to the work it involves and especially the harvest. Some days my husband thinks I'm a bit crazy because I like to weed. He sure appreciates the end product though! Yay for gardening! emoticon
