September is over....I did the squats most days and I must say they really did make me stronger.

Dear you! You've had a tough couple years with change and upheaval.

Try searching the SparkTeams for a grieving group or widows group, you might be able to get support there from people who know exactly what you're going through. hugs!

I forgot to do my squats yesterday, oops!

I only have my children and they have their own lives to live and I don't have a church yet since we got here I ended up sick with SLE (lupus) six months after getting here and then when I decided to take my own health back into my hands and got a little better then my husband ended up with cancer and when he ended up in a wheelchair I stopped riding my three-wheeler and staying around him since he was not stable on his feet. His cancer got in his spinal cord and he lost feeling from the chest down and I almost lost him then., We would of been married 33 years in March if he would of lived.

That's a big change and terrible loss. Do you have someone to talk to about it? A grieving support group? There might even be a group like that here on SparkPeople.

A bit of exercise might help your mood too. And take good care of yourself with good food and whatever creature comforts you crave (besides junk food!). Take care

I am going to start the wii fit and try that but can't do exercise at night since that will keep me up too. I think it is the stress of losing my husband in Feb of this year before that I had no problem with going to sleep.

Can you walk? You could try going for a walk each night after dinner. It might help you relax enough to sleep.

will find something just have to find out why I can't sleep at night, I think that is because of the loss of my husband and I could never sleep when he was out fishing until he got home but he is not coming home anymore.

Eeps sorry, I guess suggesting squats wasn't the best idea for a lupus team, sorry!

So 50 of something you can easily do throughout the day then! Squats for me, core exercises for Bwacagrl....anyone else?

I can't do squats because of my knees, but I can do 50 core exercises a day! I need to get back to doing them...thanks for the challenge!

Hello!

Who's up for a September challenge? I'm doing 50 squats a day. I don't do them all at once so far, and I pop them in while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil or the elevator to come. Would you like to join me in that challenge?

Other ideas welcome! In the meantime, squat!
