Agh! I've been way out of the game on the pedometer. To be honest, it just got depressing to see how few steps I get in a day. Between my desk job, and it being too hot (in the office AND outside of the office) to walk, I'm really limited. Unless I go to the gym, where I still overheat, I don't get much exercise in. So, I'm determined to put that little bugger back on my hip and track, regardless of the numbers. You can't adjust what you don't know!
Tracking your steps on SP: My Trackers --- My Fitness; in the Search tab go to Mileage, and Click Here to get Started. On the new page, scroll up and it will allow you to check to track your steps. That should do it!! 4/29 - 5,693 steps Not bad for me! If I don't go to the gym, I average 2500-3000. If I do go to the gym, I can get anywhere from 5-7k. My goal is to start hitting 7k more often. I find it super hard, though, since I have a seated job, and not much opportunity to move around. Walking @ work is out, since it's too darn hot already for me. So unless I hit the treadmill, I'm feeling pretty stuck.
I do have a pedometer but have not used it because of the bone spurs on my ankle and I will be having surgery on my ankle tomorrow for it and will be on crutches for a while. Doctor does not want me even to put weight on it for a few days then I think it goes into a boot and I don't know how long that will be.

Hey...Lauratt inspired me to get out my Pedometer again and track steps. Is anyone else tracking steps? Does anyone know of a way to track steps on SP, other than setting a specific goal and just checking whether you made the goal that day? If anyone wants to track steps here I can set up another thread for that...I know some other teams do that. Right now I'm just seeing what I get from 'normal' weekly activity and I'm about 4,000/day. So I really need to build up to at least 10,000/day!
