I actually avoid the holidays except for Thanksgiving. I make food that I know I can eat and fill up on those things. Probably won't be able to do any walking until I get back.
I know I should do all those things, but I don't..... we have veggies, I eat that, but I want my pudding as well and I usually go overboard on the mashed and gravy because it is going to be a long time till I get it again. As for the walk, well we like to play games or something that we can do as a family. But one thing, we don't make the "goodies" like we used to, no fudge or naniamo bars (because there is no way I can resist those if they are around!) Lots of mandarine oranges and nuts though.......
As for walking, even if all of us could or would go, just elicits grumps and complaints where we want laughter and joy..... So we do something we all can enjoy and have fun doing, like playing games....

YOU can do it.
You CAN do it.
You can DO it.
You can do IT.
What are some tips you use for keeping the approaching "eating" holidays healthier?
Fill your plate with healthy veggies and smaller portions of the fattening stuff. Drink plenty of water. Take a walk after meals!
