Thanks so much! I'm plugging along! I just cant wait to lose 20--that's my first "mini" goal!

Good morning!

I'm so glad you got some cardio in! Its sounds like your husband's medicine really knocked him out! he must have caught what your daughter had, right? I hope you all feel better!

That sounds like a good plan about the low cal dinner tonite. Its all about balance!

I live in southern New Hampshire--and we're feeling spring today although its not nearly as warm! i think its in the 50's but I am so excited about that! I wore a nice new shirt today to work but I dumped coffee all down the front of it. Sigh, it really has been one of those weeks!

Good thing I got my cardio in yesterday afternoon, as I was so tired last night I could barely get off the couch! i was falling asleep at 7pm! I havent been sleeping well and I have been REALLY stressed at work. But, we do what we can, right?

I have a meeting tonite but I am hoping to go for a walk after. I am going to put my shoes in the car, just in case!

Hey there!

I got to do 30 minutes on the treadmill Monday night but wasn't able to get any cardio in last night. I changed into my workout clothes and was all set to go but my hubby's medicine made him too sleepy and he couldn't watch the kids for me. I will get it done earlier tonight!!

Where do you live? I am in northern California and Spring is definitely here! It's supposed to get up to 70 degrees today. Yay!!

I did great on my calories yesterday! It's going to be hard to track them today because we had a team lunch so I will just do a low calorie dinner to be safe!

Thats quite alright! you have a lot going on and I havent been as active on Spark as I normally am! I am just glad that everything is going and that you are doing well and that your daughter is feeling better.

I'm glad that you are getting back on track. It certainly is hard to be so with everything else crazy in life! I certainly know that too! But at least our healthy eating seems to be one thing that we have the most control over (and the easiest that we let go!) You can do this!

I'll harass you! :) were you able to get on the treadmill yesterday?

I only went for a brief walk yesterday. I didnt realize how awfully cold it was! my goodness!

I want to go to the gym tonite or at least work out at home. I need to feel recharged! right now I just feel sluggish.

Melissa, I am so, so sorry that I haven't been a very good buddy this month!!
Life at my house is still crazy and it has been reflected in my eating & work out habits. I took the week off from both last week and it showed up on the scale. I am up 4 pounds to 169. Ugh. I really don't want to go back into the 170s. That would make me very sad. But I am back on track with my eating and hope to get on the treadmill tonight. Hubby is home from work this week so he is able to watch the kids while I work out. That should definitely help.

The baby is much better and giving me her beautiful smiles! I missed those sparkling eyes!

I am glad to hear you're feeling better! That's wonderful!

I promise I'll do better at checking in for the rest of the week. Poke me every now and then about working out, okay? Thanks!

Today is a beautiful day! I am really looking forward to going for my walk at lunch. It just feels great to go for a walk after sitting on my butt all day!

I have been better nutritionally.

Hi! i am so sorry I disappeared! i wasnt feeling well at all but I am doing much better now. I hope your daughter is feeling better!

My doctor is regulating my medication so that I will stop having debilitating chest pains. I have to work on my stress level! But I just came back from a 35 minute walk on my lunch hour and ate a banana, so that should be good, right?

I hope you're doing well! have you been able to get any cardio in? how are your calories?

I have been doing well on my calories but I think I need to do better about eating healthy foods and drinking more water. That has always been a problem for me.

Hey Melissa! I just went to your Spark page and left you a message to come check in so hopefully I'll hear from you soon! How have you been doing?

I'm not doing too bad on the calories and have stayed within my range for the past couple of days but I haven't worked out since Saturday when I did an hour on the treadmill.

Today I am home w/ a sick baby. Looks like she has pink eye. She has been having a terrible time this winter. She just got over an upper respiratory infection and now this. Poor little thing!

Ugh - when you look at my food tracker, please pretend you don't see my calorie total for yesterday. I had restaurant leftovers for lunch and REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER ICE CREAM for dessert. It was SO yummy but I'm never going to lose weight if I keep this up. My only excuse is that yesterday our 5 year wedding anniversary so we had ice cream to celebrate (I know it's pathetic but it's the only excuse I can come up with).

On the other hand, I did 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday. Yay!!

But then, we're celebrating birthdays at work today and we're having Chipotle for lunch and chocolate cake for dessert. Sigh. I swear, sometimes it feels like the world is against me.

I mostly work out at home. I have a gym membership but hardly ever use it anymore. We have a treadmill and weight set in the garage so I usually just end up working out there.

Hi Mary Jane! posting here if fine with me. It works out very well! I tend to slack on the emails!

I really hear you with the need to find time for working out with everything else that is going on in life. I have been very exhausted in the mornings and after work so I havent been working out. I have been going for walks at lunch, so I think that is better than nothing!

Do you work out at a gym or at home?

You could be suffering from S.A.D. Its just so hard to work out this time of year! I have no problems walking when the birds are chirping, the sun is out, and everything is fresh and alive--after this latest snowstorm I feel like all of my energy has been sapped from me! I think it makes it worse too when we work inside all day and dont get home until its dark.

I'll check out your trackers too and will offer any help that I can! We can do this!

Hey Melissa!! It's great to meet you! I like having this area to keep in touch but I'm okay with e-mailing too if you want. I'll leave it up to you.

Like you, I need encouragement with eating better and working out. I have 2-1/2 kids (we have my 7yo step-daughter every other week) and I work full time so finding time to work out is a MAJOR challenge for me. Plus, I just dared one of my other teams to have more fitness minutes than me this month so I REALLY need to get my heinie moving!! LOL!! I have my nutrition and fitness trackers open too so please feel to take a look at them. I'm pretty good about planning meals and staying on track during the week but I really blow it on week-ends. I guess I feel like I "deserve" treats since I'm good during the week. I have to get past that type of thinking and try to adopt a healthy lifestyle instead of a diet mentality. Ugh! I just wish it were easier to do!

Lately I haven't been motivated to work out at all and I'm wondering if I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). It shouldn't be this difficult to get motivated!!

So, anyway, I'll take a look at your trackers when I get home tonight and see if I can help out in any way.
