Thank you ladies for coming to find me... life has been crazy here.. with school planning and both my mother and sister out of town for the last 15 days, my hubby and I have been holding down lawn and garden for THREE houses... so life really has been crazy and that is the excuse I am using!!!! Now we are trying to get different renters into our house so we can move to our new, rented house before are lease is up in Nov, so our house has to be 'show' quality.. ugh with 5 kids.. kinda of a challenge... anway, I am trying to get back on track here.. and I can't tell you how much I really appreciate you all coming to search for me!!!

August will be better, August will be better, August will be better... hopefully the house will rent ASAP and we can move and get settled into the new one before we get too far into our school year AND the cold... anyway, I have already made the August group.. pop on over and sign up...

emoticon I did it! I am 5 minutes over my 1000 minute goal!! Yay! Last month I didn't even make 650 minutes...or around there.

1000 minutes that is really great for me. Can I be impressed with myself? I still have my Saturday workout to do. At least 45 minutes there.

I've lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks. I am feeling really good about it.

Okay ladies, I finally hit my 50% goal on Sunday, after a "way too long" heat wave. It was too hot to breathe some days, so there was no way I was going to the gym.

I decided that on the days we go to the amusement park (which is at least once a week), I will count 60 minutes of activity. With the walking around there, and playing in the water park, there has to be at least that much, out of the 7-8 hours that we're there.

Since it finally cooled back down a bit, I went to the gym yesterday. Boy did that feel good. :)

How is everyone else? Did we evaporate?

Thanks Tami. That post does look like a party!

Today I am trying to figure out how to fit in exercise with the torrential rain, the not so nice babysitters in the morning at the gym and my college placement test tonight.

I've decided to go to the gym in the mid afternoon when the nice babysitters are there. I will end up going to my test sweaty but I'm worth it.

Look at you ladies go!!! Congrats to you Robin, Tami and Donna for all making your mini-goals.. I am so excited for you!

I, on the other hand, haven't been here OR working out. emoticon For about 3 weeks my back was all out of whack and it took me 10 min to get out of bed but this last week I have no excuse. I totally unmotivated (although more now that I have been here!) I could share with you all the excuses: like fear of hurting my back again (really painful!), or school planning, or , or, or.. but they are just that EXCUSES.. if I really, truly wanted to I would MAKE time... so today I will do a workout (even if it kills from lack of working out for weeks!) I am off to print out my calendar, schedule my workouts between now and the end of July and see if I can recover this month with some diginity... you ladies keep going and if you don't hear from me, PLEEEEASE come post on my wall and 'nag' me. If I know that I missed, I will workout just to be able to report to you ladies I did something. emoticon

Yay to Robin and Tam for hitting that 25% goal!!! I hit mine today too! It helped that I got LOTS of exercise today - spend 2 hours in the pool with the kids (only counted 90 minutes though) swimming, splashing, carrying kids around, and then an hour of cardio at the gym this afternoon with my older daughter. Wooo Hooo!

My son texted me last night that he wants to take me to the gym on Saturday. That will be 5 days of the gym if we do go! I still have tomorrow and Friday already planned to be there. I told him I'd go if I'm not in agony. LOL

Hi everyone....

I love summer but boy we are running all over the place...practice....games and so on. Well with all these tournament out of town my eating is horrible. For one of the meals I do bring food along and I do bring a lot of fresh fruit but the other meal is us eating out which is killing me. I know excuses excuses if I really try I could pick better food options but nope I am suckered in the big juicy burgers or pizzas and all the other extras that come with the meals. So this week I am really trying to watch what I eat and I am trying to eat more vegetables.

I want to wish you a big emoticon again Robin on hitting your 25% goal!!!

Donna I know what your talking about when your at an amusement park or something on that line how are you suppose to count it. I do the same thing I dont count it but what a shame all the walking you do.

Well a shout out for me emoticon I hit my 10% and 25% goal and I am getting very close to my 50% goal. Yeaaaaaa ME!

Congrats on hitting your 25% mark!

I got off to a slow start - trying to figure out a new summer gym schedule, since I don't have school babysitting my kids for me. LOL I also did lots of things that I have no idea how to count it - amusement parks, day trips...guess it's all extra, right? I did hit my 10% goal today though!!!

Anyway, today was over 90 minutes!! I started doing laps at the school when my youngest is in gymnastics class. I saw one mom do it the first day, felt guilty, so I have been doing it since. 33 minutes of that, and an hour at the gym today. Feels great! No gym tomorrow, all sorts of appointments instead, but the rest of the week, I am there!

How's everyone else doing?

So here is how it works:
okay ladies! Welcome back, veterans of the Personal challenge! Also, I want to welcome any and all the newbies!!

Be sure to EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST with your updated totals so the pages don't get to long. You all are doing awesome!

For all:
Don't forget to come and toot your own horn when you reach a goal with a second little note to let everyone know you have reached another mini-goal. We all are busy and often forget to check out others stats.. so shout out with joy when you reached your next goal so we can CHEER you on!! AFter you have tooted your own horn, don't forget to follow up with your mini-rewards. I can't tell you how much in the past these have been such a motivator. These mini-rewards may seem like a pain, but I have learned they are extremely important, essentials, for me (and others) to keep going. Sometimes they are the "seeing" the work you have done, while you are waiting for the pounds to get lost! These rewards can be small, even if it is taking the time to paint your toe nails, a trip out of the house by yourself, or new makeup.. whatever. (but notice these are non-food treats. ) Treating yourself with something special so you will give yourself double the good feelings and make you want to do more!

Be sure it is soon as you possible can after you reach your mini-goal, that you treat yourself to something so it sticks in your mind, and doesn't gets put off and put off.

Next, let's all be sure to encourage others to get going if they haven't posted in a while. There is nothing like a personal note from a team member saying, "ummm excuse me! I HAVE noticed you have been MIA, you okay?" to pull a team member back on their journey.

And finally, let's remember to cheer each other on and celebrate each others achievements of our mini-goals. It is called the second-hand good feelings (LOL.. I am all about the good feelings! LOL) and I am telling you from experiences, it WILL motivated you to get moving!

You all are doing so good! You can do it, even if you have to stretch a little to reach those goals! Just keep going, keep going!
