i have issues with that, too--i just can't tell if i'm doing it right. i can't really control tightening my stomach, does that mean sucking in? I hear that's not the case, but i don't get what else it could mean.

Yes ma you do need to tighten those abs. My mom had a personal trainer tell her that tighten your abs during every workout helps strengthen your core and gives your abs a work out. Tell my mom told me that I didn't know it. I have been doing it every since and I can see the changes. I even walk taller

I think my boyfriend says that to me every time we go running or doing any sort of exercise.
I am starting to lose my 40lbs and something so simple as "tightening your stomaching" just isn't so simple to me!

When I'm running I just simply don't remember to go ahead and "tighten" it and when I do tighten it, it starts to hurt rather quickly.

Do I need to tighten my stomach, at this stage in the game?
Any tips about this?
