Hi all,
I've noticed some gyms have rowing machines or "cycling" machines for your arms (they work the same as a stationary bike would, but for your upper body). If you don't have access to a gym, I've known the odd person to place a bicycle upside down, then pedal it with their arms. I haven't tried it myself, and I know it sounds strange, but it just might be the thing. :)

DSHRUBS3 is right - punching is a great cardio workout. You can do it with or without a partner/punching bag. Just keep a good pace and to burn more calories, try getting low (bending your knees) so your thighs start to burn.

Hope you feel better soon!

Slow and steady wins the race!

I'm in the same boat! I detached my calf muscle during rugby last week and have been going nuts not being able to workout. Luckily walking with crutches burns calories, but it's certainly not a great cardio workout. I was going to try 1 legged jumping jacks and bicycles (laying on back and moving legs, not riding one). I think other people suggested both of those already though. If you find a good alternative shoot me a line. Good luck!

Swimming! Swimming is great cardio, and can be done with most breaks/sprains in the foot. You may want to double check with your dr. though.

This is just a random thought. Maybe try lying on your back and peddling you legs in the air like you are biking? I don't know if this would work. Sorry for lack of better ideas

There are some pretty good chair yoga videos on youtube... One legged jumping jacks? Keep up the strength training with a lot of core exercise? Just a few ideas.

Hi!
Does know of cardio workouts that don't require feet? I just sprained mine and my normal workout involves running... I definitely don't want this incident to derail my fitness!!
Thanks :)
