Home. I'm not the most coordinated person out there, so I feel silly on the machines. Also, student athletes get top priority and its not the biggest facility. You usually have to wait for a machine, so I just stick to running in my neighbourhood and some quick work outs in my room

I always feel like an idiot working out in my schools gym. My school is a big division one, big east school so we have AMAZING gym facilities. But, i went in there once, and all the school athletes were in there pumping iron, and mixing protein shakes, and blasting weird music. Poor little me they were laughing at me, i guess cause i have no idea what the heck i am doing on these machines hahaaa... even since then i work out in my single dorm room, with the door locked, alone. Anybody else have this problem with their school gyms?

I always work out at home. I have a really weird schedule, and can only fit my workouts in increments (except on weekends). I used to have a gym membership, but I find that I'm more likely to work out at home anyways.
Gym. It can be nerve racking at first, but it's really important that you familiarize yourself with the vast amount of tools pretty much any gym can offer you in your fitness journey.

I love to workout at home because I don't worry about how ridiculous I look when my face is beat red and I'm sweating and panting. Lol. But I love going to the gym too because of the atmosphere and all of the options. I would say most of the time I workout at home but I do go to the gym maybe once a week.

I work out at the gym or track. At home, I get easily distracted and always feel like I could be doing something else.
I do love working with my exercise ball and resistance bands at home. I don't do it very often though, for the reason stated above.
Also, there is so much motivation at the gym. You're surrounded by people who are in the same mind set as you, and that is motivational and calming all at the same time.

The main campus, only one with gym, is 30 minutes away and I just can't get there that often.
I could never read on the elliptical! I guess I'm too spastic.

My college has a really great gym for students to use free of charge. After my last class of the day I'll head straight there and usually read a textbook while working out on the elliptical for an hour. I prefer the gym because there are just way too many distractions (tv, phone, computer, room mates, snacking, etc.) at my house.
I am fortunate enough to do both....my school has a gym so I go there on the weekdays that I am unable to workout at home (As silly as it sounds some days I am on campus all day) however, I have a park right around the corner and I love love love to run in the park....until it gets too cold then its in the gym
Hmm...neither right now. I'm walking around a dorm parking lot at my university at night, because the gym here is tiny and all the machines fill up really fast. It's been nice.

I workout mostly at the gym. When I tell myself I'm going to do something at home, I don't ever accomplish much. When I go to the gym I have no option but to do what I went there to do. And for some reason it always makes me feel like I accomplished more than when I do a workout at home.
I haven't made a habit of working out regularly yet, but I plan on remedying that very soon. School starts in a couple weeks, so I plan on getting into the recreation center to workout. I would prefer to workout at home, due to privacy and the fact that I'm a homebody, but I live with my parents and there just isn't any room to workout without someone watching me (which makes me uncomfortable). If I had my own place and could afford a treadmill and stuff, then I could definitely workout at home.

Home... and to be honest, it's mainly because I can work out in my underwear here, haha!

I really prefer the gym. I'm way too comfortable at home. Something always distracts me. I live near campus now and since gym fees are part of my tuition, why not. I hate using free weights and I like machines better. Also having everyone around me doing the same thing helps motivate me. I like to see if I can ride the bike longer than the person next to me. It's fun.

I mainly work out at home...cost-wise it works for me.
But I will consider the gym next door to my school once terms start. I feel like I get a better workout there.

I work out at the gym! I have way to many things going on around the house to stay focused if I work out here. Plus I like using the equipment at the gym way better then anything I have around the house! And for some reason whenever I try to do crunches and such at home my two year old thinks its fun to sit on my tummy which makes things a little more difficult!

Well my mom and I just recently started going to the track at the Sports Complex and I have to say, it really beats running and staring at the wall at home!! It isn't a gym, but I definitely choose it over the treadmill!!

I prefer the gym. I think I get a much better workout there. I can do my stregth training at home but I get more options if I go to the gym.
I think the biggest factor for me though is if I work out at home their are too many distractions I have to deal with. ie. phone rining, internet, cable. When i'm at the gym, I'm their for one purpose and one purpose only. To work out and thats what I do.

I'm not a huge fan on the gym. I do my strength training at home and my cardio outside. There is a park here with a two mile loop that I try to jog around twice. I'm also on the edge of town so there are quiet country roads to bike on. Today it's raining, so I'll probably stream a video from netflix.

I work out at the gym because it's literally a two minute walk from my dorm and membership is free. :) Although I do feel too embarrassed to do yoga there so I generally do that in the living room while my roommates laugh at me (in a nice way). :D

I love the gym! I was scared at first, so I started with the group classes and machines. Now I consider my self addicted. Now I am not afraid to swim laps, or use the free weight area with the big boys.
When I work out at home I don't push myself nearly as much. maybe it's the atmosphere of the gym, or that other people there inspire me, or that I am paying for it so I better get my moneys worth.
I tried out a bunch of gyms first. The one I chose has a main facility, plus a women's facility. I started at the women's facility as I built my confidence. now I go to both (the womens has better classes, the main one has more weights and a heated pool.)

Mostly, I work out at the gym (and it's my 2nd home), but I take advantage of the fact that a new environment can spice up a boring routine and do home sometimes too! When it warms up, I'd also like to go outside and work out.

I work out at home because I like the privacy (gym shy) and I don't feel bad if I look like a goof. I feel like my stability ball and dumbbells are great tools and I'm in better shape than I can ever remember. I transferred schools though and I plan to utilize the recreation center. I'm going to sign up for yoga and I will use their gym for stuff I can't do at home. The new apartments I'm moving to have a fitness center too but I haven't seen it.

Right now, mostly at home. I just got a Wii Fit, so I've been doing that a lot, plus going swimming and taking walks as much as possible. Once I move back to campus in the fall, I want to try to start going to the gym again.

I exercise at home, mostly for convenience. In the past when I have tried making deliberate trips to the gym, I just end up not going. Working out at home keeps me more consistent. In the coming term though, I'll be on campus with a few hours between my classes, so I will try to go to the on campus gym then.

I work out at home because there are no gyms nearby and with the price of gas. I also like the privacy. However, when I start college this fall, I'll be taking full advantage of their recreation center. Not only do they have a gym, they also have courts, fields, a pool and a yoga studio.

I use our school recreation center for weights and running (indoor track, ohh yeahh ;)) and find stay active all over the dorm, campus, and town for the rest of my exercise.
I feel safer running inside than around campus/town, it's only a minute's walk from my dorm, but I want the freedom and flexibility to be out and about with my friends, whether playing hide and seek in Wal-Mart, playing on the playground (the closer to midnight, the more fun), or finding some other trouble to get into.
Oh and I love dancing! My friends and I aren't 21, so there's only one club in town we can go to, but that's fine. We love to two-step and line dance, and that gets your heartrate up in a hurry!

3 reasons: 1. i cant afford a gym membership 2. i don't see the point in going to the gym in the summer 3. workout videos are MUCH cheaper. you can even switch it up by borrowing them from the library, and returning it for another :)
