Cool whip between two chocolate graham crackers then freeze is like an ice-cream sandwich and isn't bad at all on calories.

Ice cream!!! It's been a weakness since I was a little girl. However, I've recently discovered slow churned, and vegan ice cream, and we have the teeny tiny cute little coffee cups that seem like a good tool for portion control. If anybody knows of some delicious, ice cream-like foods that they would like to suggest to me, I'm all ears.

My trigger food is any kind of dip. I just can't help it, especially the dip with cheese smeared across the top. It's almost like the cheese hides the evil fatty demons from my site.

Frosting. Crazy sounding, but nothing screams my name like a spoon and a can of frosting:/ I just don't buy the stuff. I try to not even walk by it in the store because if I do, I buy it and eat the entire can within 3 days. Dangeous stuff.

Being Italian, my trigger food is definitely pasta, especially when it's homemade. The problem with pasta isn't just the carbs in the noodles themselves, it's the fact that it's usually paired with some type of calorie-laden sauce, cheese, and served in giant portions. One of the worst- fettucine alfredo- is my absolute worst pitfall. If it's around, I'm eating it. I try to avoid ordering it if it's on a menu, and thankfully it's difficult to make so making it at home isn't an option. Maybe one day someone will come up with a healthier version!

Ugh, pizza. I'm living with my family while going to school and they order it like once a week and it's unavoidable. I can't have just one slice. It's too frustratingly delicious.
I do try to keep the rest of the day's calorie intake as low as possible when I know it's going to be ordered. :)

My trigger food is anything fast, easy, and from a take-out place. Whether it's McDonalds or chinese, I can't get enough of it once I start eating it. My wallet and my waistline suffer. I eat it for weeks at a time, I don't make a single meal at home, the pizza guys learn my name, and everything is just BAD. Avoiding it is hard--but I've found that frequent grocery shopping is like kryptonite. If I have tons of fresh veggies and fruits on hand and an idea of something yummy to make at home for dinner, I'm fine. No rushing home to call the pizza guy. Instead, I just stop at the grocery store and pick up a few things for a healthier homemade pizza, burger, or pile of chow mein.

Mine's kettle chips. So tasty, but so bad....I started getting the reduced fat kind but that still didn't work too well, so the last time I went to buy groceries I just didn't get chips haha. Coke is another trigger of mine. About a month or two ago I'd find myself drinking 3 or 4 cans a day :/

Before you eat these foods, say to yourself this is not going to be last time that I am going to have chips, ice cream, fast food, etc. It is so hard to say no but you will be able to have these foods again and there is no necessity to eat it right away. While trying to lose, I am going to stay away from these foods and when I am healthy, I will be able to control it by eating them in moderation. It is all about portion size. If you eat chips, count the calories. Don't eat the whole bag. What I have been doing recently is when I have a craving I will go on Spark People and read an inspiring story. Also, Dessert Delight gum is a great way to have sugar without the calories. It usually takes the craving away.

I have a hard time limiting my dairy. It has full of sugar! I try to make substitutions and pick one food or another. For example, on a taco salad I either have cheese or sour cream but not both. I also let myself have one good latte a week as a reward and then just stay away from dairy the rest of the day. I like the idea of using hummus as a dip; I think it would satisfy my craving for something creamy and delicious! Avocado is another good substitute; it's full of good fats and vitamins.

My other weakness is Diet Coke. I don't drink much of it anymore but even still I am trying to eliminate it altogether. I have found that sparkling water with some vanilla or lemon stevia curbs my craving for something sweet and bubbly or black tea when it's caffeine I'm after.

I have a terrible addiction to carbs. I would much rather have a few dinner rolls than an ice cream cone. I love any kind of bread or pasta. My guilty pleasure is boxed mac and cheese. I love the cartoon shaped kind.

Also, soda is one of my biggest triggers. I drink Coke like a maniac. You'd think I'd die if I didn't drink it. It's true that you can have withdrawals from sodas. I really do get headaches if I don't drink at least one soda a day. My goal for this week is to drink only water. I would love to detach myself from sugared drinks.

Carbs and cheese. It continues to be very difficult for me to have one serving. I have been eliminating pasta and pizza, but I did have pizza for my birthday party with the family. Next time I will bring a salad or something since I had way more than I should have.

Soda's were gunning for me, I'd start drinking and couldn't stop, but the good thing now is, since i got on the healthy path I haven't had a SODA (woohoo). I usually tell myself, 'you can have one and exert some self control," it never happens though. emoticon

I love fruit-flavored sweets--pie, candies, anything of that sort. I can easily avoid the chocolate cake in my dining hall, but the pie.... I'm trying really hard to limit myself to only grabbing a slice once or twice a week, making Mondays and Fridays my dessert days.

I am addicted to Panetini bread topped with bruschetta. I can't get enough of it but what I have been doing is getting my fix of it in small portions. I know if I eliminated it completely there will come a point where I will want it, and I'll get it and eat a jar.

Ohhhhhh my god. For me it's peanuts / peanut butter. Once I start... it's terrible. Just... awful. So I've sworn off of it! I've replaced it with almond butter, which for some reason doesn't turn me into a fiend. :)
Also: I am SO glad to know other people have this problem.

My trigger food is pasta. I can't get enough of it. I could eat pasta all day, everyday and it is not healthy! I don't like to eat whole wheat pasta either. I love eating penne vodka and if I make pasta at home, I tend to make a lot and snack on it throughout the day or even days after.

It used to be hard for me if I ate sweets. Now I allow myself something small ever day (less than 150kcal/day) and I find that helps me curb my sweet tooth so that I can focus and be good the rest of the day.
Now my trigger is pizza.

My trigger foods range from sweets to pastries to bread products and breakfast foods.
As soon as I slip up once in the day I find it very hard to regain control

For me it's buffalo wings. Especially the boneless kind. I could seriously have those for every meal of every day and never get tired of them but I don't because of cost and health (yeah, I know they're bad.)

I'm seriously going to try to cut it down to once a month rather than once or twice a week (or any available opportunity.)
