I eat fast food occasionally, but always make smart choices when I do. Wendy's has a lot of great options for lower cal diets. I love getting their grilled chicken wrap with mandarin oranges on the side. Taco bell is also ok. I usually order off of their fresco menu. I will eat breakfast from Mcdonalds (egg mcmuffin with no meat, or a fruit and yogurt parfait) but I know if I went their during lunch I would be tempted to get the filet o fish, which is my favorite, so I just stay away after breakfast lol.
Iuse to work at BK and ate it everyday. I actually lived on fast food for a long time. Then one day my husband and I decided to give it up. We went from eating it 5 times a week to not eating at all. I haven't had Bk or McD's for 5 years now. We really didn't eat any fast food until we moved into our home and Jack in the Box was close by. Now we do eat there once in a while, but i still have not touched mcdonalds or bk. I kind of look at it like a challenge. To see how long i can go without it. Our friends and family are amazed by how long we have gone. Its kind of a fun game for us. Good luck staying away from it!!

I work @ mcdonalds and eat it just about every day. You just have to pay attenetion to what you're eating. Eat a salad, or try grilled chicken on something, but if you still fell like you failed or as though you ate something you probably cold have done without, exercise. Exercise on a day that you normally wouldnt. I now dance 6 times a week as well as strength training I'm not saying you should but when you do something healthy after something unhealthy it makes you fell better. Just be careful on what you choose while eating fast food. Say no to the fries and have a parfait or a side salad. And instead of having soda choose bottled water, orange juice, or apple juice.
I'm convinced that GOD is the owner of the Morningstar Farms corp. lol It's his gift to vegetarians!
Congrats to you, Jess, for trying a fully vegetarian lifestyle! I am not one of those people who thinks that the whole world should go vegetarian. It's not a lifestyle that was meant for everyone, but it's definitely worth a try! If you don't eat red meat, you are still what we call a "Semi-vegetarian"! :-)
its a brand name of meatless products. soy based. its still not the best choice, as opposed to a salad lol, but it tastes exactly like a regular hotdog, but less fat, i believe. 130 cals for 1 corndog. yummy. im just afraid of whats in a hotdog lol you never can really know
i used to be vegetarian and it felt great but i was missing something. now i do eat chicken and turkey. ever since i was vegetarian i cannot eat red meat, or much of it. idk what it is, its dense and makes me feel like it sits in my asophogus (spelt wrong? Lol). i LOVE morning stars corn dogs...soooo good lol
I love fast food, don't get me wrong for goodness sake, but I hate McDonald's. It's something about how all of their food smells the same that makes it feel evil to me. Also, I am a vegetarian so there aren't many choices for me there.
I should say though that I heard their kiddie cone is a great low-cal dessert!
Since I have modified & improved my diet it just doesn't feel good after even consuming a small meal from McDonald's, but it's a good sign, your body knows it deserves better & the next time you have a craving you'll remember how you felt the last time after driving through the golden arches!
So you ate McDonalds today and tomorrow you wont.. I gave up fast food last year. But if I wanted I could still go and eat it.. However, like you because I haven't had JUNK in my system it would make me really sick.. I fist cut back on the burgers and only ate the grilled chicken sandwhiches, but then I left fast food completely and well I had a relapse (lol) and had a grilled chicken sandwhich that made me so sick it was sad.. But you can eat Junk food when you want.. You just have to be mindful of the portions.. You only ate half of the burger! That's great! you ate a few Fries! That's awesome.. We do not have to give up everything that we used to like, one or two of these items a month does not change our progress, I think its the excess that we have to worry about.. But even still if the world of fast food isn't for you I can completely understand and agree.. Somethings once they are kicked you just can't go back to.. Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Goal: run 30 minutes every other day
Goal: 25/25/25 (pushups/crunches/squats) every day
Three words...IT...WAS...DISGUSTING! after i ordered i wanted to drive my car through fast without paying or picking up my food, but they did this crappy thing and build a barrier so you cant do that! so i payed for it and honestly, i wanted to throw it away and just say goodbye to the almost 5 bucks i threw away, but i ate it anyways. i didnt finish the drink (an orange HI-C....HOLY SUGAR!) and didnt finish all the fries or part of the cheese burger (i got the two cheese burger meal).
plain and simple, i wanted to puke after i ate it. not because im bulimic...no no no...but i literally felt like i had eaten something really gross! today was supposed to be my off day from working out, but at 9 pm (After watching the biggest loser of course) i got my butt up and worked out, and burned 820 of the 1000-1100 cals i ate from mc donalds. all i have to say is that its totally not worth it!
i should have just gotten my usual venti iced black tea--unsweetened from starbucks. that always leaves a smile on my face!!! AND...it has ZERO calories!!
