I'm looking for some new breakfasts to try so this section was really helpful! Usually I have either some cereal (fiberone, special k or cheerios) and fruit or I poach an egg or 2 with light multigrain english muffins. Usually I'm done in around 1/2 hour.

usually I eat a fruit smoothie I make myself, 1/2 cup plain non-fat yogurt, 1/4 cup skim milk plus 1/2 - 3/4 cup fruit (I keep my freezer stocked w/ strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and peaches so I have lots of variety) plus 2 tsp Benefibre. On weekends I might get a little fancier and make pancakes or make breakfast sandwiches with a English muffin, and a little cheddar cheese melted on at Morningstar sausage patty. Sometimes I'll get turkey bacon and have a few slices between a Lender's mini-bagel spread with non-fat cream cheese. I'm not a big fan of cereal for breakfast, I prefer it as snack food, but I do keep Special K vanilla almond and Kashi go-lean crunch on hand if I don't feel like using the immersion blender, I use yogurt not milk on my cereal though. Oh and I always have 2 cups of coffee w/ skim milk and raw sugar plus my daily vitamins ;)

I alternate between bagels from the dining hall (when eaten with reduced fat cream cheese and paired with a slightly smaller lunch/snacks) and oatmeal and grits. The oatmeal is my favorite. I add splenda and usually some chopped banana. Try adding a packet of diet hot cocoa to your oatmeal and you'll be amazed. It only adds 25 calories and it's so yummy. :)
I have portion control issues with cereal but I love it as well. My favorite is FRUIT. Fruit with everything. Just had a granny smith apple before posting this.

I either eat Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with frozen blueberries, or Kefir poured over frozen blueberries (thawed over at least three minutes).

Ha, basically I have to start my day with frozen blueberries. Weirdly enough I adore them more than fresh blueberries when it comes to breakfast... I love the way they make the milk in my cereal super cold :).

Well today I had keefir and 4 graham cracker squares (2 whole crackers). I love them both so much. I should probably eat a fruit with it...

I eat an egg with a piece of toast to dunk in the yolk. Sometimes Ill have 2 pieces of turkey bacon also. This breakfast has lots of protein to keep me fuller longer, and it tastes good :)

I heart cereal and milk. Not only is it full of protein, iron and fibre, it is also a healthy comfort food.

I like skim milk and either all-bran (or a substitute like 100% bran) or special k vanilla almond.

I alternate between cereal and fruit smoothees. I don't know where I would be without my blender.

I force myself to make time for a bowl of quaker weight control oatmeal and a smart ones breakfast quesadilla (tastes just like this 2,500 calorie omelet from ihop!) That's breakfast for this week. I also throw in a pack of motts apples or some kind of other fruit and chug a bottle of water with it.

i always start my day with breakfast, it starts my metabolism and gives me energy for class... i'll usually have either a bowl of oatmeal with a banana and glass of skim milk, or a bowl of cereal (usually kashi) with skim milk and a banana, or a weight watcher muffin with a glass of skim milk and a banana, sometimes instead of a banana i'll have half a grapefruit

I don't really like getting up in the morning early enough to cook myself something so I usually eat a Special K bar or drink a SlimFast drink.

I'm not the biggest fan of "breakfast foods." I don't like eggs, and cereal and oatmeal get old after the first or second day. So I'm left with pancakes and bagels- not the healthiest choices. So I'll usually have green tea and a Luna bar if I'm in a rush. If I have time I might make myself a salad or a sandwich (more like lunch-y foods). Sometimes I'll also have the SmartOnes WeightWatchers frozen meals.

I'm lazy in the morning, so I usually just pour a bowl of cereal (lately it's been Smart Start) with skim milk, and then 1-2 cups of coffee.

I find that having fiber in the morning really helps me to feel full until lunch. I found this awesome President's Choice brand of bran cereal (basically no name all-bran) that tastes really good. I usually add cut up fruit like a banana or nectarine, or else blueberries or something. I always use 1 per cent milk with it.

Oh and of course my vice: coffee.

I find I need protein in the morning too. If I am not having eggs, I often have cottage cheese. I found a new Kashi cereal, Honey Almond Flax, that is really good for me, with 9g of protein and 9g of fibre per cup.

I can't fail if I don't quit.

Hi Everyone! I'm new here...currently motivated, so that's great...anyway:

Oh breakfast...we have a tempestuous relationship! I love it, but I find that I usually never have time to eat it properly. When I do, I love Cheerios and OJ. I always have.

But...they don't keep me full! I'm hungry about an hour later, so I usually need toast, and fruit is always good.

However, this whole ideal scenario almost never happens...! So, I find myself grabbing things, ANYTHING, out of my cupboards. Kashi granola bars, if I'm lucky, or raisins, or almonds....or Hershey's! Then, I over-eat at night because I was so hungry during the morning! Needless to say, this is a vicious cycle...I keep meaning to make s'mores, but the Hershey's are never there!

I have noticed that a large (though healthy) breakfast keeps me full far beyond dinner. This morning worked especially well. I had Quaker Weight Control oatmeal and 2 scrambled eggs. I was full far through lunch time!

I usually eat something relatively quick, but I do try to budget my calories in the morning and eat something healthy. Right now, I like multigrain Cheerios with lots of fruit (peaches, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc!), almonds, and flax seeds added. It fills me up and I don't feel guilty about eating it! If I'm in a hurry, a lot of times I'll go for two chocolate chip Eggo waffles and a glass of orange juice. It's not the healthiest, but at least it's not terrible!

My usual breakfast is a glass of milk and a multivitamin. Occasionally, I'll add some real food like oatmeal, cereal, etc. However, most days I wake up and I'm not hungry. Today was different though. I force fed myself a bowl of oatmeal, and I'll probably do the same for tomorrow.

Hi!
I've become a huge breakfast fan over the past year or so. I usually have a bowl of cereal (with skim or soy milk) plus some fruit or a whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and some fruit. Every once in a while I'll add yogurt to whatever else I'm eating for breakfast that day. I don't like having a super-heavy breakfast... so these fill me up but don't weigh me down at all. And they only take a couple minutes to prepare (toast the English muffin, wash the fruit) and not too much time to eat (just enough time to read an article or two in the newspaper).

I'm not a big breakfast eater but what I do eat is yougurt with crushed granola.. or I do a bowl of special K some fruit.. pretty much something simple and easy and quick to eat because I am always running out the door.. as for more made meals I save those until the Weekends when I have more time, I make most often egg whites with spinach a couple slices of turkey bacon and some whole grain toast or mini bagel... that takes about 25-30 minutes to make and eat... good luck and I hope that helps

i have cheerios with splenda. for a fruit i either put banana slices in it, or eat an orange w/ it. doesn't take long, perfect when you're in a hurry. (you can always take the fruit w/ you and eat in class) that's for the summer. when i had classes at 8am, i would take some fruit, water, and a nutri grain bar, and that was my breakfast during class.

Hello,

For the people who eat breakfast, what is your usual breakfast like, and how long does it take to make and eat it?

My usual breakfast right now is eggs, toast and a fruit smoothie. It takes about 35 minutes to make and eat.

I can't fail if I don't quit.
