Way to go, girlfriend. You are truly a Woman on a Mission! Also, you are inspiring me to get back into running! I have to get some new running shoes and get on that treadmill. I'll have to let you know my progress. I just have a goal to run a 5K this year. So, thanks for being an inspiration again!

Race over!!. I am sore and tired but I finished. I had the fastest mile run I have ever had and I ran the 1.5 within Air force standards. (my husband is AF) I had a really good time and the slow bus didn't have to pick me up. I will run it again next year and add a half marathon next April (2010). I am definitely excited but thrilled it is over.
Well Done Dixie & Welcome Sonya! Today is my X-Train day also. Yesterday, I ran 4.5 mile intervals (slow then fast, walk, slow than fast, etc.) & did arm weights. I'm sore too, but from the weights. Doing a pilates class today. I'm told that to make the running easier, you need a strong core. Makes sense, & as I'm not fond of my 4 fat rolls, let's get to it-- & yes, I wanna know!
Keep it up. Today I had to run for 20-25 minutes. Tomorrow is xtraining. I am going to the gym tomorrow for elliptical training. Tonight was also a strength training session especially for my legs. I am a little sore but no worse for the wear. I will try to post what I did daily. Because I am in Japan I am one day ahead of everyone else anyway. Good luck on the turkey trot. I am doing that here as well. Much slower then I intend to run the 10K I am training for but it will be good to get out there.
You can do it Dixie! I'm right there with you... However, working on my personal bucket list, I'm training for a marathon in January (my first and only). Joined a running group and I'm up to 8 miles, whodathunk. Right now that's a walk-jog (wogger?), but I can do it!
A group of us (unknown to ea other) Sparkspeople in my geographic group are running the 10K Turkey Trot in Torrance, CA. We should get Sparkspeople tee shirts-haha!
I have a 10K coming up in just 13 weeks, so I started a training program to help me get there. My goals are 10 lbs lost and 10 minutes shaved off last years time. If anyone wants to join me check out my sparkpage and I will share the running and strength training regimen. Tonight was my first night and I walked for 20 minutes. Tomorrow is a 25 minute run. If I am on here I will be more accountable to getting it done.
