May Challenge! Wow, it was awesome and I pushed myself to the limit.

Stevie - couldn't have done it without you posting this challenge or had the following breakthroughs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Did I reach the 5-pound challenge? No. What I did achieve though is unable to be measured on the scale, and easier to measure by heart.

These are some things I was able to do the last month, that without being challenged I may not have even tried.

* I played kickball with my kids, running the bases as fast as I could. Last year I would have watched

* I asked those that love me to help me. My wonderful friend Steph has watched one or both boys twice a week so I can get to the gym. My oldest son, Liam, has challenged me in a swim contest and did the boot camp videos with me, chearing me on saying you can do it, Mom! My wonderful husband, best friend, light of my life - well, I did the unthinkable! I actually exercised in front of him in order to get my 300 minutes in! I know it sounds silly, after all, he’s seen me naked, but I never wanted to jiggle and wiggle while exercising in front of him. He’s done all he can to help me in life-style changes.

* Tried new exercises to keep things fresh and to stay motivated. I’m doing Zumba next Wednesday and can’t wait!

There are several other breakthroughs I’ve had this past month, too many to list. What it comes down to though is that I don’t have to wait to start doing activities after I’ve lost 50 pounds or 100, life does not begin nor am I unworthy of enjoying myself and family until I’m a size 16, 14 or 2, but life is a gift and every day is not a day to say “when I am this size, have this money, when kids are this old I will do so and so," but each day is to be lived to its fullest and best, to love your God, yourself and your family and friends.

So my wishes to each of you is to live life to the fullest, laugh a ton, and spread that spark that makes you so uniquely and wonderfully you!

Please share what you’ve learned so I can keep on going in June!

Peace,
Kelly

Peace,

Kelly
