Got my 3rd day in today... with the shock of losing another friend (who was my age) from a heart attack... it makes one realize how our lifestyle choices can make us live 'longer or shorter' lives... Raising a glass of club soda and living a healthy day in honor of my dear friend BOB... OMG I'll miss him and his great laugh, and sense of humor...

Like Windstar I too want to get more AF days in so I cand shed some pounds for our Christmas party on Dec 10th - I want to abstain if I can for the rest of the month and with the money saved from not drinking hoping to reward myself with a new outfit for the party (and hoping the no drinking will bring my weight down again)... URGH So far only 2 days AF this month but working on my 3rd today!

8 for 8 for me so far. I'm doing a full 14...or maybe 13...:)...because my doctor recommended it for my headaches. It's not hard to abstain when I know it's NOT an option, but I'm sure when my 2 weeks are up I'll want some drinks again (unless, of course, it really helps my headache not to have any).
One thing that's surprised me during these two weeks is that alcohol substitutes, like non-alcoholic beer or sparkling cider, really have hit the spot for me. I would have imagined myself just substituting my alcoholic drinks with diet soda or water (things I drink anyway), but I guess the ritual of sipping a beer or drinking something from a champagne glass really is part of the reason I normally like drinking, not just the alcohol itself!

This week I was AF Tuesday & Saturday. 2/10 for November. Today will NOT be an AF day (FOOOTBAAAL!!!). Also taking a friend to b-day lunch at a local brewery & there's NO way I'm not having a draft beer.

Good for you BWild!! Wish I could say the same (on the calories for today) Waaah. I seriously was going to stay on track today. Ended up shopping all morning for our new venture, & then my MIL shows up & wants to take us out to eat! to a BUFFET...whine whine... I ate shamelessly - Kept thinking I was going to behave, but just kept eating - didn't even need dinner, but now that it's almost 10 dang oclock, I'm starting to think about food again, & I'm already up to like 2500 cals for the day...whine.
But I AM 4 for 4 AF.... so that IS something. If I don't hit the frig here in a minute, maybe I won't have a FOOD hangover tomorrow.

I have 2 jobs, 2 kids and I am a full time graduate student and I often find myself running to starbucks for a quick pick me up and that throws off my whole day calorie-wise grrrrr! So today, i am going to try to be AF AND SF (Starbucks-free) lol

In November 2009, I will lose at least 4 lbs by:
Earning a minimum of 2000 fitness minutes Eating within my calorie range daily NOT OVEREATING ON THANKSGIVING Limiting my alcohol intake (every other day AF) Walking a minimum of 10K average steps daily Being grateful everyday for the wonderful people and blessings in my life

May ...increased my calories...lost 3 June *3 weeks of vacation@JasmineVilla +2 (but SO worth it!) byJune 30...lost 3 July...lost 3 August...lost 2 *Down 25 pounds! Sept... lost 2 Oct.....up 3 :( (a traveling month) Nov......? not sure Dec ...still at 25 pounds!

My goals for November are:
1. To be AF for 20 days 2. To lose 5lbs 3. To increase my activity level by walking more - just bought a pedometer so I'll see how I get on with that.

Welcome to November Team! Can you believe only 2 months left of 2009?!
What are your goals for finishing up the year? This month is Rememberance Day where we take time to remember those who have fought for us and given their lives.
With our team, I challenge you to remember the GOOD that you have done. I would ask that you recognize the progress you've made in 2009 and set yourself some new goals for this month.
My goals for November are: 1. To double my past 2 months totals and reach 10 AF days. 2. To lose the 10lbs I have been yo-yoing for the past few months (up and down) and stay in 160Ville (visited 170Ville a bit too much in October. 3. To increase my strength training and workout minimally 5 times a week.
What are your goals? Writing them down helps us to re-commit and start fresh. I look forward to reading yours and hearing of your progress along the way team!
