My ankle (the one that was broken) pops and cracks sometimes although it's been less and less the more I move. I haven't noticed a difference in what I eat. But then I know my pops and cracks are due to the injury.

Tina--It's hard when my dh is gone too. I've learned to get used to it over the last year, but I've been so happy having him home the last week!

I know they recommend exercise for arthritis. I know my hip and leg are fine when I do my walking regularly, but get really stiff when I sit all the time. Now that you mention it, I have had popping in the past; just can't remember where! lol

Well, I am doing better this week emotionally with dh gone. Last week I felt like not eating, tho I did go for the 3 freggies. And yesterday I felt like eating too much! emoticon I gotta get a grip! emoticon

I'd be interested to know if you can find a connection to the popping. I can well imagine how the popping hip would drive him nuts.
My post master, whom just retired last week, is one year older than my dad and in much better health. He contributes it to walking. He's said that he doesn't have problems with his arthritis when he walks. If he doesn't walk often enough it flares up. I likened it to joint lubrication. And what do people do when they have arthritis? The least amount of movement as possible, right? Because it hurts? I thought that was interesting too. And it's encouraged me to move more, even if it's skipping in my house and dancing. (can you believe there isn't a dancing emoticon?)

I have had that cracking a popping at different times, Melody, but it seems to go away. I've never been able to connect it to anything, but now I'll pay attention to the veggies and see if that's true for me. DH has a hip that does that when we walk together and it drives him nuts!

I didn't count coffee as water, otherwise I would've had 10 pts every day.

Does anyone creak or crack or pop? My mom's ankles used to make noise in the mornings and then mine started doing it. Then I realized they don't do it when I'm eating my veggies. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have most of these things listed as extra Spark goals, so I was able to check back over the week and add up my points.

For the week, I have:

Huddle- 30
water - 30
freggies- 30
exercise- 20
pamper - 30 (had lunch w/friends; had dinner w/Spanish club; am getting our tree today)
weight - 25 (lost some of my Thanksgiving weight)
Sharing - 25 ($ in the Salvation Army kettle, working w/grands on their Christmas projects)

Week Total = 190 points

Terri ~ I think keeping a checklist is a great idea. I have done that before with other challenges!

Melody ~ What about you think about what you are able to do along these lines list them and use them... Make at least one a bit more challeging..... This will give you ideas of what you would like and is a possible goal for you to challenge yourself.. What do you think? ( is this clear as mud)? LOL

We have a house near us that synchronizes their lights with music each year. My kids love it! I just drove by last night to see if they were up yet, but no lights were turned on yet.
