197 today. The scale's been down as low as 194 this last week. Couldn't seem to be satisfied yesterday, so ate a small bag of Cheetos and had some ice cream. Think I'm going back to salad's for lunch. The chart says too high on the fats, but I'm satisfied and not getting the munchies.

202 again this week. Time to get control of the food and do some tracking. Stayed in range today and got all my water! My mom bought me one of those clear safe plastic tall glasses with the screw on lid and built in straw. The red band with the snowflakes is a nice sight at work. :)

Ugh. No wonder my pants feel so tight! I was 202 on Monday morning after a weekend ladies retreat and 3 good meals a day plus snacks. Back to it!!

It feels like a lot of hard work to lose just a pound. emoticon

I know, I'm whining, but that's how I feel. But there is just no other way to lose weight in the long run for me. The short term big losses don't stay off long for me.

I'm just working my way to those goals of yours. I'll have more time to focus once this grad party's over! Getting the exercise in keeps me more motivated, and I'm looking forward to adding lots more veggies/ veggie based items to our menu.

Thanks for friending me, TinaKatrina. Yes, I've lost 7 pounds. Trying to stay with fresh foods, drinking 8 glasses of water, recording food on sparkpeople, and cardio workout for 30 min. a day.

My goal is not so enormous. I think I can lose 5 pounds a month by doing these things.

I am up to 220 this morning with my clothes on. I want to do the challenge, but can't do anything but Spark basics until I get through this week of Spanish assignments. I'm up two this week, Terri. I can relate. Somehow I'm not going to be on track til I can cook again... The woman at the appliance store called me yesterday a.m. to say she'd get back to me a bit later. Then she called right at 5 p.m., right after I left on an errand. And she didn't work today. Grrrr. Now I have to wait til Monday to order!

Yes, Tina has had a lot to deal with lately!

I'm still hovering around 212. My appetite has been huge and I'm not taking the time to follow my "5 small meals" plan. Water is always an issue. I start back to school next week, so maybe the routine will help?

Yes, the scale showed 211.3 this morning. The other thing with the weight was that I weighed with clothes on whereas, I was weighing in my undies before...that definitely accounted for a lb. or two. I'm still not getting enough water--lots of coffee in this cold weather, but not enough plain water. Will keep working on that~

It definitely could be water weight Terri. I jumped up 4 lbs one week and then it looked like I dropped 6-7 lbs the next week. I know it was just water weight. So wait and see what happens over the next several day or week.

I'm at 177 today.

Okay, now I'm depressed! The scale showed 214 this morning! I'm not going to change my ticker until next weekend (if I still need to) in hopes that this is just water weight :(

Today when i weighed myself... 159... So I am staying around there... Hopefully with this next BLC I will lose more.. I am very glad to see that the weight is staying off... i do believe it is because i am doing it slowly and of course all the other stuff mixed in....

Tina ~ when is your dh coming home? Is he back?
Kudos to your weight loss!!

Terri ~ I am the same way... Cold weather and I want breads and pastas... I thought since sauce bothers my stomach if i eat too much, that would stop the pasta eating! NOPE, I am finding Butter or olive oil with cheese mixed in is delish( sometimes i throw in some baby bella mushrooms and/or greens.... ) LOL

Maybe I'll try that, Tina--or maybe a little hot water with some Crystal Lite? I hate dealing with teabags, but I might make a pot of hot lemon water to nurse on.

And I rotate between fruity teas and hot water. Somehow got started on that a few winters ago when cold water and tea both didn't sound appealing. Warms me up!

Terri, good for you!! I am cutting back on coffee(therefore, half and half) I find it not only makes a difference in my weight but in my blood pressure! LOL I totally understand drinking more when it is cold... happens to me,too! So i am leaning on tea.... LOLOL

Well, I made myself drink an extra glass of water, so I got the equivalent of 11 eight-oz glasses and I was more careful with the salt than I have been. I have some yummy Peppermint Mocha coffee creamer that I've been enjoying, and I have been drinking more coffee than usual with the cold weather and my extra studying, so I thought that might be contributing to the issue. I just cut myself off the coffee (yes, I tend to drink it through lunchtime, some days) at mid-morning and switch to water.

I was thinking about laying off the coffee creamer altogether, but the scale was back down to 210.4 this morning. I think that--for me, at least--it the water that makes the difference.

I still want to see 20? before the New Year and ONEderland would be even better!

Well, I keep bouncing up and down with the same 2 lbs. This week has been a lot of sitting in front of the computer or books, and not a lot of physical exercise--and not nearly enough water. I'm finding that 8 glasses is a bare minimum for me--and any less than that and I don't lose ANY weight.

This morning I was 212.4~ :(

I'm going to try a couple of different things and see if that makes a difference. If it does, I'll tell you what I did :)

After all my "fork exercises" last week, I was up to 213 over the weekend, but now that the leftovers are all gone and I've upped my water intake and am back on my eating plan, I was back at 211.4 this morning.

Congrats on the weight loss!

I know what you mean about the time. I'm having trouble with that, too. BLC had tons of strength exercises for the Thursday challenge. I had to quit after 1 hour and do it JUST before bed last night! I have too much on my plate right now, pulling me various directions. If I remember correctly, life never did slow down last year as usual. emoticon Our health is sure important to do all the other stuff tho!

Great Job Everyone!! Tina, that is a great attitude... I kept reminding myself of that all week... What am I doing this for? It is not totally about losing weight it is about health....
I find I am eating more than usual because I am trying to get all my nutrition in( and fiber for lowering my cholestral) I do feel like I am eating too much... But girls.. I am eating healthier and saying no to the junk(hard at times)
I did lose 1 pound.......
Which is great... But I am getting a wee bit discouraged.. The reason... As much as i love subbing it is harder to get in exercise and harder to eat well.... So I need to figure out how i can get this all accomplished and still have time for God and family ( and you all) LOL
Well, I didn't mean to write a book!! LOL
