Okay guys, I know that the holiday season will soon be upon us. I also know that with the holiday season comes a LOT of temptations: hot chocolate, egg nog, gingerbread, candy canes, cookies and cakes and chocolate and gigantic meals. It's a LOT! And I expect to hear some stories about people falling off the wagon. So I figured, let's come up with a Christmas challenge.
I don't expect everyone to give up all of those yummy foods, so what I propose is this: every day, try to either:
a) avoid one of the unhealthy foods by substituting it with something healthy (example: "I feel like hot chocolate. I'm going to have green tea instead!"),
b) give into the temptation but do so in a moderated way (example: "I'm craving a great big slice of that chocolate cake! I'm going to eat a little chocolate out of this advent calendar instead").
Then, come back to this thread and post your stories about how you didn't give in to the "spirit" of Christmas. On Christmas day, whoever has the most stories of how they resisted temptations will get a sparkgoodie from me!
BUT WAIT! There's a second prize! Whoever has the most INTERESTING story about how they resisted temptation will get a sparkgoodie too! So if you have to leap over bushes and climb trees and lock yourself in a bathroom for three hours with your worst enemy who becomes your best friend, tell me about it!
