Challenge Idea - Identify one locally-grown food (i.e. low food miles) that you rarely or never eat and think about how to include it in your diet (in a healthy manner, of course). To finish the challenge you need to try it at least once during the week/month. Share the results, share the joy :-)
How about weighing our recyclables (recycling buckets not included in totals) before setting them out, and then at the end of the month we can say "Our team saved X lbs. of stuff from the landfill". Then we can try to outdo ourselves every month.

What do you guys think of putting up challenges here...I know there is a great one in the 'general forum' (TIN CAN challenge -- way to go, greenbuilder!) but us "leaders" can't move the topics around at all. Anyway, I was thinking about doing 'green' challenges...like recycling newspaper for a week, or not buying a paper at all, and reading online for a week. Then there's something similar to the Tin Can challenge...while you're out walking in your neighborhood, take a bag with you, & pick up trash. I'll bet half of it can be recycled!
Anyway, post your ideas here.
