I Love both the golds gym workouts, I try to to both of them everyday. The only thing I dont like about them is the minigames, they drop my heart rate and it feels like i have to work twice as hard to bring it back up. I mostly use the personal trainner on both of them, if I have more energy somedays I will go into my workouts and do more, that dosnt hppen to often.
Wow, I don't even know there's Gold's Gym Dance Workout..! I have been using Gold's Gym Cardio Workout but I have never tried the dance version. I don't know why but I think Gold's Gym isn't fit right with the word Dance. But thanks for the information..!

I know i'm responding late, but i've had the GGDW for quite awhile and I love it. I also use EA Active 2 (which is definitely a higher intensity workout), so I can't say I contribute the inchces I lost to GGDW alone. I use the 2 controller options and I have the wii balance board. I definitely wouldn't purchase the balance board for this game alone, actually, you get more of a workout without the balance board. With the balance board when you are skateboarding, you lean left and right wereas without the board you jump. Hopefully this answer helps.
thanks for the feedback. hopefully i'll have more to report after the first few months. so far the game is tolerable, however some of the music is beginning to become repetitive... also have you noticed that the game monitors your heart rate and i believe if you go over what it considers 'dangerous' that it will change the next day's exercise to something milder?
I do not use GGDW as much as I did when I first got it, but I like the fact that every time I use it I work up a sweat.
I have not created any workouts yet. I usually do a My Workout that's around 30 minutes. I like the balance board for the mini-games - Bull Ride, Canoe, and it's the only way I can Jump Rope. I would not get the board just for that game; however, if you want to also use Wii Fit Plus it would be good.
I have a love/hate relationship with the game. I hate the fact that it's so fast with no direction, and you can't figure out what the moves actually are. The "slow down your moves" feature is crappy too, lol. But I still like the game and feel that it gives me a pretty good workout. However, I don't use it that often because I just get too frustrated.
I created my own routine because the mini games leave much to be desired. I've never done it with the balance board; I'm not sure how you would even do that with needing to move back and forth.

i am writing because i have been using the GGDW game for about 3 weeks now and i have to say that i am somewhat pleased with the progress i have made.
i was wondering if there were any other sparkppl members who own the game and what kind of successes have they had with the workouts. how long do you work out? do you create your own custom workouts? etc.
i use the two controller option but i do not use a wii balance board... do you think a balance board is worth it?
