Wow! Thanks for all the replies! I'll definitely start paying more attention to my foot placement and wrist movements.

I have not had that problem with Advanced Step but had that problem with Boxing (in Sports) and some in Rythm Boxing so much that I stopped doing them for a while. GGC Boxing isn't quite as bad but I agree with the person who said the angle of the wiimote and nunchuck makes a big difference.

Walk it out is awesome. The higher beats per minutes songs are a great workout and, in my opinion, easier to get 'perfect' marks.

Good luck everyone!

I have a tendency to move my feet to one side of the board or the other. My husband kept telling me that last night. I completely agree with Mommy_T's post. I'll have to watch the angle of the nunchuk now.

it might be the angle you're holding the nunchuck--I know that Gold's Gym is very picky about the angle of the wiimotes--you have to keep them vertical to register right (especially for dodges).

more likely, you're not doing enough of a snap movement--you need to punch out AND back quickly to make it register. try flicking your wrist--that works too. not that I recommend just flicking your wrist because that's not that much of a workout, but that might help you figure out the movement/timing better.

as with the board, you do have to show the weight difference on each side of the board, so if you step in the middle or "wrong" side of the board, it won't register right for that foot.

With the Advanced Step - I found for me personally it was a timing issue like JanTwo suggested. I also had to step on the step fully not just a partial step. As for the boxing in wii fit - the only time I had a problem with the punches not registering was if my feet were in the wrong place then the punch would not count. It had to be both. On the Golds Gym - it is form and timing. That is a all correct or notta. Love them all. If anyone goes to the Walk It Out - another good game but timing is everything.

I think you have to hit the perfect rhythm and step at the perfect time.

I'm not sure, but I'm interested in this too. I don't do the Advanced Boxing too much, but I have the problem with my nun chuck, and the Gold's Gym Cardio Game Boxing, especially hooks, maybe it's just a form thing though.

The only time ours misses in Rhythm Boxing is because my punch is sloppy and not on target.

I had a problem with hula hoop. It wouldn't register my hip movements, so we powered the whole thing down. It worked fine after that.

Maybe you need a power reset.

I've had both problems now and then. In my case, the step wasn't always registering because I wasn't stepping on the right spot on the board. I was intent on watching the arrows on the screen, so sometimes when I thought I was stepping on the far side of the board I was actually stepping too close to the near side and it wasn't recording the step. Discovered this by looking down when it said I had "missed" and seeing where my foot was.

The boxing wasn't as easy to determine what was going on. Still not sure, but I know that when I use my wireless nunchuck it misses more often.

I'm using the Wii Fit Plus and really love the Rhythm Boxing and Advanced Step because between the two of them they burn a decent amount of calories and I feel like I'm getting a pretty good overall workout.

Problem is, sometimes the nunchuk and/or the balance board doesn't register my movements. I mean, I'll punch with my left hand and it won't trigger the machine to know I punched. That's counted as a Miss, and I want those points!

A similar thing happens when doing the Advanced Step routine, when I'm supposed to step on the board sideways (the purple foot movements). I'll put the first foot on, then put the second foot on with the same amount of weight as every other time, but the board sometimes won't register that I stepped on. Hence, a Miss and no points.

Anyone else having this problem and finding a solution?
