(most of this was said, but I'm going to word it a bit different.)
Go back to the game description on the Wii Shop Channel and it will tell the different controllers that will work with it.
Controller options for different games (not all work with every game) include:
the Wiimote www.amazon.com/Wii-Remote-Controller-ninte
the Wiimote and nunchuck attachmentwww.amazon.com/Wii-Nunchuk-Controller-nint
the Wiimote and the classic controller (will be labeled classic controller, but it plugs into the Wiimote)www.amazon.com/Wii-Classic-Controller-nint
the "old" GameCube controllers--most things that use this also use the classic controller--usually it's just a preference on which you prefer. This controller plugs directly into the side/top of the Wii (the almost round ports--there's 4 of them)
(comes in various colors)www.amazon.com/Controller-Nintendo-GameCub
Wireless, no rumble (comes in "platinum" and "grey")www.amazon.com/Gamecube-Wavebird-Wireless-
I do recommend getting a name brand controller--a lot of off brand controllers are crap, especially for GameCube. To know that it's official, the wireless are called "wavebirds" and the wired ones have the Nintendo Gamecube words printed in the middle of the controller.

Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
